This is the setting you came to isla mujeres for. Yes the food is mediocre and the service not the best but it's such a lovely spot that I'm willing to overlook its drawbacks. And I've sure eaten in a lot worse places.

We ate breakfast here most days of our trip-good mexican coffee, eggs, bacon, etc... The staff was excellent and funny. One waiter seeing us in the mornings, would ask if we were ready for tequila. He was cute. The shrimp ceviche was the best I tried this week, and the guacamole and pico de gallo was very good. Better than... More

Right on Playa Norte. We ate a couple of meals here, and rented two chairs and an umbrella for a day. Totally recommend it. Go for the local dishes over the american/European stuff (take the Tiken Shik over the fish'n'chips).

We went to Isla Mujeres for the first time in Nov and happened upon this beach club because it was the least crowded. We bought two chairs and an umbrella for $20. We asked the attendant for a menu after we paid and he never came back. I saw him a few chairs down waiting on people and caught his... More

Continental breakfast here included with room where we often stay. Weird fake juice, Weak coffee, toast. Some days they only give us the coffee! Barely existent service. Great location right on the beach!

We decided to park our golf cart near the beach and stop for a quick bite to eat. We wanted to order a plate of chicken tacos. The server said, "No, they are not good, you wouldn't want those". He encouraged us to try the quesadillas. So that is what we ordered. We ordered a margarita while we waited. It... More

As part of our continental breakfast with our hotel, we came here for breakfast, only once. Continental breakfast includes-watered down OJ, coffee and toast-cold with cold butter and jam. We waited 15 min for service and when asked for second cup of coffee, felt was ignored. Left small tip and went somewhere else for coffee.

We sat here a couple of times while we spent the day at Playa Norte. At lunch I was not impressed. The ham and cheese quesadilla was a bit skimpy and the shrimp tacos did not taste of anything. Plus the tacos were not crispy but a soft tortilla. We also sent back an order of french fries because they... More

The food was okay, not super good but the staff wasn't really friendly. It also took a while to get our food eventhough there were not too many people at the restaurant.

I have reviewed this bar before, and I just can't give it under 5 stars because of the view and atmosphere. It is the most laid back place with the best view ever. That being said, we can here for breakfast, which was included with our room at Cabanas Maria del Mar. We waited quite awhile for our toast and... More
