This pub is a good spot when you are walking on paseo montejo at merida. After a long walk is good to stop at this place and have a cold beer to stop your thirst. Merida is very hot and you might need it. Very cold beer and great variety, but the place was not great. Although we went on... More

Same signage as a pub of the same name in Rotorua New Zealand , same photographs as I have had up in my office for 28 years , showing premier league soccer. All a bit cofusing and the cocktail was a bit ordinary . Staff looked bored

We love Hennessy's. The food is great, the service good and a Guiness is always a welcome change from local beers. We go often and have never been disappointed. Our favorite aspect is that this is a place where the owners and staff get to know you immediately, and always welcome you back. A little like Sam's place, Cheers. We... More

We have eaten at Hennesseys several times over the past 7 years and have seldom if ever been truly disappointed. I stopped having the fish and chip dinner a few visits ago because I felt the fish was just ever-so-slightly under-cooked. My wife and I went again this week for dinner as we both had a hankering for shepards pie,... More

Pricey but the beer is always really cold. Lots of expats. The fishcakes are awesome. Live music in the patio at night most days.

We went to watch the ball game here and it is not something we will do again. Seemed to be a snobby group in there. Seemed to be all gringos that attend there. I'll stick to the locals place next time. Depends what you like I guess.

We had the fish and chips and corned beef sandwich, both very good. Service was good and management was very friendly. Outside entertainment while we were there was also very good. Only negative, would be that it really is only a casually Irish place, missing most of the Irish beers and only a couple of Irish dishes on the menu.... More

Fish and chips I have ever had. They beat London!!! The accompanying potatoes were crispy and not over salted. The fish was prepared beautifully. Lovely cod, firm, moist and perfectly done. The breading was crispy and thin not doughy. The true flavor of the fresh fish really came through. This is a gorgeous pub. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Wonderful... More

We had a marvelous experience at Hennessy's on our vacation to Merida. The food was delicious - all of the dishes were fresh and well prepared and the desserts were incredible. Great selection of beers, wine and cocktails. As if excellent food and drink were not enough, the people there were amazing - Sean and Colm were welcoming, kind and... More

My husband and I visited this authentic Irish pub and restaurant with another couple. We had the fish and chips, Guinness pie, chicken curry and shepherd's pie. All were delicious and the dessert sampler topped off an incredible meal in this authentic Irish setting. The owners pride themselves on the excellence, quality and consistency of the food. The atmosphere on... More

Description
Hennessy's Irish Pub: Bringing an authentic taste of Ireland to Merida, Mexico.

Opened in late 2010 by Irish expats Sean Hennessy and Colm Cooney, Hennessy's has quickly become one of Merida's favorite watering holes and resturants, popular with locals, expats and travelers alike. Don't miss Hennessy's stunning front bar, cozy Polo Bar in back, open-air patio and billiard room.

In addition to its stellar Fish-n-Chips, don't-miss menu items include stunning curries, fresh salads and delicious steaks. Hennessy's also offers a great selection of beer, wine, cocktails and Irish Whiskey. And Guinness, of course.
