This pub has the look of sophistication and delivers. It looks great inside. The high ceiling enhances the atmosphere and enlarges the space. It is located in a ritzy part of town and it appears to serve a large expat community. It has ample patio...More

I am an independent animation producer who live in Merida. One of our favorites at Hennessy's Irish Pub is Fish 'n' Chips. You just can't find a good Fish 'n' Chips anywhere else in Merida. Every time when we dine here, they've never disappointed us...More

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Sean and Colm really care about their restaurant. Revealed in the details.

Whilst this place is perhaps Irish owned and Irish themed it lacks heart, and you get the sense it's not a happy ship. By far the least friendly place we visited during our two weeks in Mexico - the service was surly, and the food...More

Good place to try another atmosphere. They have a large number of beers and diferent food from the local. We ordered Chinese rice and fish and chips, both really tasty! I recommend this place and the area to have a walk 😉

fter several days of sampling different mexican restaurants, decided on some basic american styke food. There were four of us and most of our dishes were disappointing. Even my desert, a cheesecake, was not very good.

I had the most amazing ceviche. Octopus, scallops, avocado, onions, pepper, olive oil, plus goodness knows what other secret ingredients, resulting in the most amazing explosion and one amazing gastronomical delight! The Guinness was cold and went well with my ceviche.

Beer was nice and cold . It would be great to have Guiness on tap and Irish music playing though. Good place for watching sports on TV.

Description
Hennessy's Irish Pub: Bringing an authentic taste of Ireland to Merida, Mexico. Opened in late 2010 by Irish expats Sean Hennessy and Colm Cooney, Hennessy's has quickly become one of Merida's favorite watering holes and resturants, popular with locals, expats and travelers alike. Don't miss Hennessy's stunning front bar, cozy Polo Bar in back, open-air patio and billiard room. In addition to its stellar Fish-n-Chips, don't-miss menu items include stunning curries, fresh salads and delicious steaks. Hennessy's also offers a great selection of beer, wine, cocktails and Irish Whiskey. And Guinness, of course.
