El Fogon is a mini adventure in itself, you line up on the street waiting for a table as the joint has limited seating , starving as you stare at the diners lucky enough to get there before you chow down on delicious tortillas, nopales, carnitas, asadas, and the best charro beans I have ever eaten. Seriously, people rave about... More

We stopped after shopping in Playa. The pork is amazing. The combination plates were more than ample and the chorizo quesadilla was great too.

Our friends have raved about this place, one of their "must stop" when they come to town. Just a couple of blocks off 5th Ave, it was an easy walk. We stopped in for an early dinner and was greeted by a smiling waitress in a jam-packed dining room filled with tourists and locals alike. The waitress spoke great English... More

yeah...this is the place you need to go to to get some authentic tacos in Playa! It is a total locals spot, but nobody looked cross-eyed at us when we walked in...very inexpensive and very delicious!

On our recent visit to Playa del Carmen, had to make a stop at one of our all time favorite Playa restaurants. Food and service were outstanding as always! We were also lucky enough to be seated next to the cooks, so we could watch first hand while they were creating the dishes amazingly fast and accurate. Everything I have... More

I recommend the Arrachera Nortena. This dish from the north of Mexico is so amazing with tender steak. It is a lot of food making it a great value. The tacos, nachos and quesadillas are all amazing as well. The meats are so tender and flavorful. This is a place I frequent when living in Playa. It is popular with... More

Outstanding food. My favorites are the frijoles charros. The pastor and fundido is also great. Highly recommended. My only problem was the sun at the Constituientes location. The one on 30th ave and ?12th is larger and better. Probably better at night.

We always make sure we stop here every year. I was asked why I don't try something different than the taco loco. I gave my partner a taste and she agreed she would order it too. Bring your appetite. Everything I have tried has been so flavourful. Get there before 6pm or expect to wait in line. It does move... More
