Don't expect gourmet or air condition or great ambiance, but if you want dirt cheap and real authentic Mexican dishes check it out! You see that locals crowd in among those few adventurous tourists and there are plenty of reason why. They may serve a watered down refried beans but everything else, mole, cerdo a salsa verde, pollo entomatado, mondongo,... More

Great lunch selections - my friend and I went back several times and ordered various offerings and we were not disappointed.

The place does not have a menu; you look through the kitchen window and see what they have, and choose. No cervezas, though. The food is simple, but tasty. And the prices very cheap. The kids loved the mole de pollo, and they made us some cheese quesadillas. I had the chiles rellenos and they were great.

Very good food, excellent service, nice environment and super cheap prices... Absolutely to try the Mole sauce and the caldo de camarones. Highly recommended!

We've been going to Tulum for years, and Tacoqueto never disappoints. Great local restaurant for authentic Mexican fare. Nothing fancy, no tourist (or any) menu, you just look at the offerings of the day and choose what tempts you. One of our favorite dishes is the caldo de camaron (shrimp soup): large, tasty shrimp in a perfectly-seasoned and spiced broth... More

Kinda stumbled into this place but so glad we did. As others have mentioned the menu is a look into the kitchen to see what's cooking. Very good food, very good prices and very friendly people. we were the only gringos in the place but felt very welcome.

Ignore the tripadvisor map. This place is on the south end of town (away from Cancun), keep going south after the ADO bus terminal and it will be on the other (beach) side of the street. When you enter, go straight back to the kitchen and see what they have to eat that night. There will be 4 or 5... More

My husband and I had queso quesadillas and chili rellenos. Each came with rice and beans as sides. You can't go wrong here with the delicious horchata and the table side fresh made salsas. This was our best in town dining spot and can't recommend it highly enough!

This is a low key but very nice restaurant just off the main highway. The staff are welcoming and very effusive about the food. There is no real menu as such but the kitchen which is open to the seating area is a hive of activity making a range of dishes of the day. This is a refreshing contrast to... More

Small family restaurant with delicious authentic food. We were welcomed into the kitchen to choose from the large bowls of just prepared entrees. The chicken with Mole was perfectly seasoned, the shrimp in broth was excellent, the horchada was not to be missed. The cheese quesadillas with quacamole were served with fresh tortillas, funky cheese and delish guacamole. The owner... More
