We stopped here for a quick bite for lunch and was great. The staff were super friendly and if you like spice, their homemade hot sauce is really something to try. The portions are very reasonable and I thought great value for money :)

I ordered the 'fresh fish caught daily' - it was cooked beautifully. So tasty and fresh. The others both had skewers, which were good, but not exceptional. I'd say despite the price, better to go for the steak that the restaurant is renowned for, or the fish. The calamari was also super tasty, and comes with some zesty dipping sauces.... More

Great atmosphere and no nonsense good food all within sight of the off the grid wood fired kitchen. I waited an hour until the suckling pig (from Manuel's farm) was ready and it was well worth it. And then there was the flan...

We spent out stay at Nueva Casa de Ramiro and had our first dinner at Casa Banana. The atmosphere is really enjoyable: a real steakhouse, cosy and crowded. The food is pretty good, steaks are well cooked on real barbecue, you can feel the fire! Rates are way too expensive being in Mexico and eating steaks! But there's something more... More

This is a great restaurant about a 5 min walk from Hip Hotel. It was constantly busy everyday we walked by it. We had dinner at Casa Banana and thoroughly enjoyed it. We tried the flank steak, salad, chorizo and focaccia bread. Every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared . Great social scene and great bar.

We did not eat at Casa Banana so I cannot review the food. Our hotel recommended it for our party of 10 (bad idea to begin with), which included three elderly folks. We called in advance and were told they would hold a table. They said "we don't really take reservations, but we will hold the table for you if... More

Located across the beach road from Nueva Vida is Casa Banana Steakhouse, a Tulum dining hot spot. Serving up classic Argentinian style cuisine, the food here is simple, fresh and delicious. For breakfast each morning enjoy made to order coffee, homemade banana bread, and pineapple coconut jam. At night the restraurant gets busy and comes alive with it’s outdoor grill, known as “parilla,” and dishes are cooked over the open fire for all to see. The menu favorites include grilled to perfection steak, fresh caught fish, impressive salads, and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Don’t forget to try the handshaken icy margaritas, too.Open daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide beach service for all guests of the hotel.
