Spent one week, everything is perfect, cabanas bigger than normally at Tulum. The beach is just few steps from restaurant and cabanas

We stayed at Zamas for 4 nights and loved the atmosphere and food at the restaurant so much that we hesitated going anywhere else for a meal. ( we did venture out one eve and while the food was good it was no where near the same vibe! Our waiters at Zamas definitely added to our positive experience and kept... More

Zamas was the perfect spot for our bachelorette/girls trip getaway. We were a group of 6 sharing one of the cabanas and found it to be very spacious and comfortable. Honestly, all of the hotels on the beach side of Tulum are pretty incredible. Zamas is one of the first that you reach when coming from the town of Tulum... More

The beachfront setting could not be more beautiful. Bar was good, and the food, though simple, was very nicely prepared. Only the dessert--an American-style key lime pie--failed to live up to the standard set by everything else. Service was efficient, if not overly friendly. Still in all, a very enjoyable visit.

We have only dined for lunch there, having found this little gem 2 years ago. Go to the Tulum ruins in the morning and end here for lunch. It is about 4 km south of the ruins on the beach road that leads to Sian Kian. Colorful and in a very picturesque setting, the food here is "fun Mexican" and... More

Sorry its taken so long to write this review. A group of us rented a private driver for a tour of Tulum and stopped here along the way. The place was fairly empty but took a bit to get seated then even longer to get drink service. Many people employed but nobody working is the best summary. Once we got... More

We had lunch here one day and whilst the gambas pil pil were delicious the other food wasn't as impressive, and it isn't particularly cheap. However the location is second to none, right on the beach, and the place is beautifully furnished with its colourful chairs. We came back one night for cocktails and listened to the live band, which... More

On New Year's Day in Tulum there aren't a ton of restaurants up and running for breakfast, but thankfully Zamas is one that is raring to go. We went on a recommendation from our Airbnb host and were so glad we took his advice. The first awesome thing about Zamas is that there is parking right out front and a... More

We went here thinking there will be live music but I guess there is none on Monday. Even then the staff and the place didn't leave us disappointed. The food was brilliant and so were the drinks. We got a table for two facing the sea and loved the moon and the view. Must visit place!

It wasn't so, so many years ago that Zamas was, if not the only game in town in Tulum, pretty close to it. With explosion of growth here, that's obviously no longer the case. But Zamas still deserves special note; because of its longevity, its special location, its fun atmosphere, and last but not least some darn good margaritas. Service... More
