We last visited this restaurant over ten years ago and even though it has changed owners the French food is still beautiful. It has a set price menu for 1, 2 or 3 courses and is reasonably priced at approx $60 for 3 courses. Not trendy french food but old fashioned home cooked style food. Many favourites like snails, duck... More

Outstanding service and food. Only a small place perhaps 40 seats. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and an excellent menu. I had the pepper steak and it melted in my mouth. As good as places I have eaten at twice the cost. Four persons with 4 mains and 4 desserts with corkage was $200. Great value. Must book and it... More

Went to Chec Maurice and Linda last night with a party of 6 after a long time between visits and while the owners have changed and a new chef is in charge of the kitchen the standard of cuisine has not changed, if anything it is better. The range of items on the menu, which is a fixed 2 or... More

Well as far as regional french restaurants go this is well worth a visit. Expect it to be crowded on Friday and Saturday nights so be sure to book. The restaurant it totally byo beers included which is unusual dining in Sydney these days. The three course menu is about 58$ per person which is very reasonable and includes a... More

On the overall it was a disapointing experience. The food came in almost cold, the waiter whom is by himself in the restaurant, could do with a helper. He is so busy taking all the orders, that he cannot attend to all of them. The food in general is very basic

Loved the choices. Great tasting. Good value. Busy atmosphere. Noisy when full. Would go again to try more dishes.

Friends had raved about this place. Old establishment with newish owners. Pleasant is the best way to describe the quality of the food. Traditional french food but kinda felt like we were in the 1970's or 80's. Best part of the meal was the complimentary pate on arrival. Sometimes there is merit in the saying - 'out with the old,... Set price and small menu. The cleverly chosen offerings, wonderfully presented make it a great experience and that is why it is so difficult to get a booking. Small things like the pre dinner pate (how do they make that amazing toast) just add to the equally delicious food. Definitely worth a visit.

Chez Maurice e Linda wraps its arms around you and delivers a unique French dining experience in an understated location. Their set course menu is delicious. We've dined there several times and find fabulous new French tastes each time. It's cosy, so probably best suited to winter. Don't be put off by the bland exterior and close seating - it's... More

A very unique restaurant. Food is probably 4-5 out of 5, great choices. BYO everything, which us good, $3.50 corkage per person. Disappointed that the lambs brains on the menu were not available. Service average, not because of staff but because 2 staff for 40 patrons is tough going. Chatting to one of the service staff, a bead of perspiration... More
