We had been here several years ago when it was called Harry's and we totally enjoyed it. Now it has become so noisy with very loud music. We did not stay for dinner as we could not hear the Persia on sitting next to us. Very crowded with expats, even though it was only 5PM. Don't know what they see... More

Put Hanks at the top of your list when dining in San Miguel de Allende! Great food, fun, and excellent service. Puts the guys on Bourbon Street New Orleans to shame. I know I lived in New Orleans a few years.

Came here with some friends for their daily happy hour (5-8pm) with 2 for 1 drinks. When you order a drink they bring out 2 of them which is interesting as my 2nd beer wasn't too cold by the time I got around to drinking it (I guess it's easier to keep track rather than taking off half the drinks... We stopped in almost every afternoon that we were in San Miguel de Allende. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent, the drinks delicious and the bartenders very friendly. On several occasions we ordered appetizers that were very good.

First stop in San Miguel and proved to be a lively bar scene. Servers were excellent great tequila at reasonable rates. Let down were the oysters Watery and have a feeling shucked hours before as no relative to fresh lime juice . Definitely a fun and friendly watering hole

After a week of delicious Mexican food we decided to try something different. We arrived at 8pm and the place was packed. Rather than accept a table in the back where it was very crowded and warm we waited for another table in the front. 70's and 80's rock and pop were playing and the place was lively. It took... More

It's a Monday night, we had a great day touring the town. Now what to try for dinner. Trip Advisor has been our go to, a no brainier. My husband felt sorry for me, since he must be so careful with Celiac, so he would have a steak and potato while I endulged in a Cajun dish. 4 stars from... More

From the atmosphere to the friendly staff, this place is great for a quick bite or a cocktail after shopping the cobbled streets of San Miguel. We had excellent crispy tacos for lunch that were on special that day and the prices are quite reasonable. Super nice people!

Great afternoon at Hank's - lively bar and restaurant near the Jardin. Fun for drinks or dining. The owner is usually there - nice hang out with other ex-Pats.

I enjoyed my dinner here - the oysters were excellent, the main - a massive pork tenderloin in a fruit sauce - was surprisingly spicy/hot, the sides (I chose mashed potatoes and coleslaw) were just ok. Live music was great, and service was impeccable.

Description
Hank's is the new name of the famous Harry's Restaurant with 12 years of history in Mexico, since 1999 in San Miguel Allende and since 2004 in Queretaro. Hank's is a bit of Louisiana and its "French Quarter", which offers the traditional Cajun cuisine from New Orleans. The atmosphere at Hank's is incomparable, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or spend a pleasant evening in the bar, drinking a margarita, a martini or a devastating hurricane while listening to jazz music.
