My wife and I enjoyed a quiet evening out without the kids and found this place, recommended by a local. It turned out to be our best meal in San Miguel. Our waiter was awesome and so much fun. He spoke 5 languages and kept us laughing. The live band was awesome, some American expats who had serious skills and... More

Came across Tio Lucas while walking down the street a few weeks ago. Met some local gals who were leaving and they raved about their meals. We gave it a try, no reservation, warm greeting, great table, excellent service. Menu selection was very good there was something for everyone. Beef and Pork were the big menu items. Portions were large,... More

It was nice to finally eat at a restaurant in SMA that was not overly gourmet. A simple, unpretentious yet delicious meal at affordable prices. The steak with mustard sauce, creamed spinach, and homemade fries was delicious. Staff was extremely attentive with nice live music.

I just loved this restaurant. It is located at the end of Mesones street. It is beautifully decorated and the menu is diverse so you can get any thing you want. The service is good and it is finer dining and can be romantic . All and all I went back to this place again and again and was never... More

First off, let me say that we speak Spanish and we are experienced travelers so this is not a language/culture issue. This restaurant was an extreme disappointment. Although they are somewhat expensive, but not out of our budget, we decided to splurge. We ordered margaritas, a Caesar salad, and chateaubriand for two. Service was rushed with servers trying to set... More

San Miguel de Allende is filled with terrific restaurants--but Tio Lucas isn't among them. Two of us had lunch here today, and let's just say that at nearly $60 USD, this particular joint was happy to reach high for my dollar, but it didn't once come close to deserving even half of it. Service was marginal, our chicken enchiladas were... More

Have heard many good things about this restaurant unfortunately I cannot add anything to add to this. We wandered in and were charmed by the restaurant's decor and general atmosphere but were very disappointed with our meal. I had the vegetarian Swiss enchiladas and found them bland and lacking in flavour. My husband was unimpressed with the chicken. Overall found... More

We were sent to this restaurant by the staff of Casa 1810. What a great first meal in beautiful San Miguel. The restaurant staff was as good as the food and the food was upscale Mexican. The roof opens, that was wonderful and unexpected. It rained, no it poured, but the roof was closed right away and the Happy trio... More

A unique steakhouse Restruant with a Mexican flare. Lovely ambiance. Excellent service especially the Cesar salad prepared at your table. The Argentine ribeye was succulent flavourful and melt in your mouth cooked to perfection.

Such a pretty restaurant. They have sparkly lights all over the place .. and beautiful details. The food is great and competitively priced. The owner makes his way around to each table to make you feel extra welcome .. his staff though is excellent! We had a great dinner and enjoyed the beautiful setting. In walking distance to the Jardin... More
