Cafe Rama is a fun looking place inside and out. Apparently the previous chef was better. We had breakfast here and it was maybe okay - huevos florentino and chili rellenos. Unfortunately neither had much flavor. The staff here is quite friendly, so they have that and the ambience, now they could use a chef (at least for breakfast)

We liked this place, just around the corner from the Instituto Allende on Ancha de San Antonio, which is a great street to amble along. This is a great spot to take a break for a coffee or glass of wine. Food was good and prices reasonable. An attractive and amiable bar and café restaurant.

This place went downhill in a hurry after the initial founding chef bolted. Most of what I have ordered here since is inedible yet scandalously overpriced

Lunch is excellent in this eclectic cafe. Great place for a drink and snacks or a long lunch. The art and interior decor are worth a visit.

This is a nice place in the neighborhood, near to the downtown, with a fresh Mexican food menu and handmade amenities. Very good.

With crackling fire places in the winter and fresh flowers in the Spring, this Greenwich Village like café serves a large international choice of mom and pop type foods while admiring the very good indeed pop art on the walls. The steamed mussels in a white wine curry sauce are a must!

San Miguel de Allende is unfortunately way too touristic so it is difficult to find good food at a decent price with great service from people who care. Café Rama answers this. It is far enough away from the downtown area (a few blocks) to serve great food without changing who they are just to please finicky tourists' new fad.... More

Delicious food, wonderful service and great, casual atmosphere. Breakfast is also exceptional. The flank steak was amazing and hibiscus drink with ginger very refreshing.
