Upscale cuisine that is affordable and delicious. Dinner for two with a bottle of red wine was around fifty US dollars plus tip. First class service and a great menu in this charming European style bistro.

We had empanadas (good), salad (ok) and pasta that was tasty but a very small portion! All in all - too pricy and way many mosquitos!

I had an Italian Dish and the flavors were absolutely delicious. The service was patient and the food was delivered quickly. My friend was equally satisfied with her food as ell.

Sorry, the Tomato restaurant lives only in San Miguel memories. Now the restaurant has changed to become an argentinean steak house, so watch out what are you looking after. The meat was good but the tomato sauce (even that it was home made) had too many sugar in it (even that I told the waiter, he explained that's the way... More

My husband and I were there the first week of January 2015. The place had been highly recommended but did not meet our expectations. I am from Argentina so my first ranking of an Argentine restaurant is their empanadas. Next the chimichurri. Those two items tell me how authentic and good the place is. Tomato failed on both--the empanadas were... More

The restaurant is not big nor crowded, which adds to the quiet and nice atmosphere. The ribeye here is very juicy and nice. Shrimp cream pasta and baby ribs were delicious also. The service is quite nice .

Whatever it is called now, this restaurant has always served consistently delicious food. Everything is presented on interestingly-shaped plates and there is an obvious attention to detail. Service is efficient and unobtrusive. It is close to either the Teatro Santa Ana at the Biblioteca or to the Teatro Angela Peralta just down the street so a good choice for pre-... More

El Tomato is now called Bistro Buenos Aires so initially we had difficulty finding reviews about it on Tripadvisor. Excellent food and excellent service. The staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. There are some excellent restaurants in SMA but this was the best meal we experienced during our stay. My wife had the polenta while I had the gnocchi which... More

El Tomato is now called Bistro Buenos Aires. We have had good meals there in the past but our recent visit was disappointing. The service was almost non-existent. It is a nice little place but with only two customers in the place when we were there you would think they would have better service. They have a mix of pastas... More
