Cafe Muro has always been great. We went to the Loreto site for breakfast and it had disappeared! No sign on the door or any help, but a near-by shop gave us directions. It is now at San Gabriel #1, in the Obraje neighborhood. A bit of a hike from town center, in a new building in a residential neighborhood,... More

Four of us met for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The new location is somewhat tucked away in the Obraje neighborhood. It's at the top of a steep dead end street, at San Gabriel #1. The old address on Loreto is no longer valid. If you don't know the northern end of the city well, it might be better to... More

Congratulations to Gerardo and Carlos on their gorgeous new three-story location in Obraje. It is a short walk past Calzada de la Luz - take the first right in Obraje and follow the street and then easy path to the left to the back of the restaruant (or you can go a street further to the front). The new architecture... More

Café Muro has moved to a stunning multi-level contemporary building, designed to the specifications of owners Gerardo and Carlos. The new Muro is much more spacious, open on several levels, with numerous artisan touches, plus a roof terrace overlooking the city. Sunlight streams through huge floor to ceiling windows all day, and a cactus dotted hillside nestles against the walls.... More

Gerardo and Carlos have realized their dream to own their own location and have been open for a week in their beautiful new building in the Obraje area of San Miguel de Allende. The building can hold three times that of their previous location in El Centro on three levels, a two-story main floor, a mezzanine and a roof terrace... More

El Muro just moved here - don't let Google confuse you by sending you to their old location, where they were for 6 years - and had been open for just two days before we arrived. Located on a charming cul-de-sac on the north edge of the town. Totally renovated in a modern style with charm and taste, light and... More

Everyone in our group of eight had a great lunch here. All remarked on their fresh entrees and the attentive service.

The family uses fresh ingredients available seasonly and the soups are so tasty and filling on a cool day. Good house wines and homemade limonada are enjoyed by all. New location coming soon. They also allow local artist to exhibt - so the decor is always changing. Open for breakfast into late afternoons.

I will try to be objective. The place it's very nice, small and cosy. The food very good, at least the Benedict eggs that I tried... But the story doesnt end there, my granduncle asked for an Arrachera and she disliked, she's used to give feedback so he asked the owner to quietly approach to the table and she made... More

We stopped here for lunch one day and loved it so much, we returned another day for breakfast. The food and its presentation is fabulous. The atmosphere is beautiful. It is super clean. The owner is a wonderful man, so friendly and helpful with all of our questions. This restaurant is not just great for San Miguel, it would be... More
