The bread and pastries are good, some, like the lemon merengue tarts and baguettes were as good as France The one thing that was irritating is the number of flies on the pastries that are sitting out. Some pastries are covered in fly domes and the many tarts that are in a case protected We bought things here at least... More

A bit of a wait and I found the service to be a bit slow. However, the food was really good. We had the coq au vin which was awesome. Also tuna tartare and the seared yellow fin tuna were great as well!

Love this place ate every morning there. I am French so appreciated the excellent breads croissants etc. Fresh green juice was excellent eggs Benedict cooked to perfection ( perfectly runny) my favorite . French toast was nothing special however the croque monsieur was good. Ambiance friendly and service attentive. Go for the great pasties and bread if nothing else

From bread to pastries to high end desserts, Cumpanio has "hands down" the best baked goods in San Miguel. The open air kitchen allows you to watch their French chef and his many assistants hard at work on their craft. My favorite bread is the seed bread - try it with just a little avocado and cheese - perfecto. Another... More

We went to Cumpanio for a traditional style breakfast. A bit disappointed to find their menu is more European. The juice was fresh as was the bread they offered. The service was spot on. We just expected a different type of food. The menu was not to our liking.

Dined at Cumpanio twice during my stay in San Miguel de Allende. It is conveniently located on Correo, about 2 blocks from Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel. The menu is varied and includes about 15 interesting dishes. On my first visit I tried the salmon on a bed of Nicosoie potatoes, topped with a dijon sauce. It was very very... More

The sandwiches won raves because the bread would have made a Parisian proud. Baguette was crunchy on the outside, airy on the inside, with the fillings modest and not overpowering so you could taste everything and not leave feeling like Homer Simpson. The other dishes were savory and we'll likely be back before we leave.

I had a very tasty portabello pasta dish and have not tasted any of their other dishes. Service was poor. One side of the bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was carbonized--not a healthy thing. Speaking of health, the silverware was placed on the bare table rather than on the linen napkin. From what I have read, restaurant... More

Thank you very much for your comments. We appreciate them and we have shared them with our manager to improve the wine list and not to allow burned bread on the table. And also about silverware. Thank you again and looking forward to see you soon at Cumpanio. Saludos! More
