The shrimp weren't fresh, slow service, very expensive for what they offer. The bar might be better... it is not the best idea sea food where no sea.

Fun casual place with fish tacos, artichokes, ginger margaritas and coconut ice cream. Don't miss Paloma who sings Saturday nights. She is fabulous. She sings everything from Elvis to Adele to great Salsa music for dancing. It is a great evening. Friendly staff too.

Only place that I have been which serves ginger margaritas, If you love ginger, you must try. Very good fish dishes and fish tacos.

We enjoyed this restaurant. The decor is lovely; lots of pictures of "substantial" mermaids. The food is very good, lots of choice and prepared and served really well. We happened upon an evening with music and an impromptu birthday celebration which was lovely.

I went to La Sirena Gorda because it was recommended in a NYT article. It was a lovely evening. Had a great meal and fabulous ginger margaritas. Live music, great service. We went for a drink but ended up staying the evening.

La Sirena Gorda is two blocks from the Jardin near the Palacio de Bellas Artes and is housed in San Miguel’s oldest cantina. To enjoy delicious cocktails, toast, fish tacos and seafood, La Sirena Gorda is definitely an excellent choice. We stopped for a light meal and really were delighted. This is more of a Tapas eatery than a restaurant. They are... More

I had never tasted a ginger margarita before, so cannot compare these to others. But they sure were delicious! I opted for the fish tacos for my meal - the fish was very fresh, but served absolutely plain - a very boring dish.

One of the best spots to eat and drink in SMA! The ginger margaritas were outstanding. As was the shrimp fried rice. Our waiter was on top of it all. He was friendly and had a big smile. You like seafood? You'll love La Sirena Gorda!!

We had a late lunch at la Sirena Gorda & were very pleased. We had red snapper & tuna and both were delicious. The ginger margaritas were wonderful, as well!

When we discovered La Sirena Gorda had moved to El Centro, the first question we asked was, Do you still serve alcachofas? Si, si. Two years ago, when La Sirena was way up steep hills on the east side, we ended up with a snack tray and tequila shots because the artichokes were all gone. On this visit, my primary... More
