Very welcoming traditional pub with good food. Really like the very basic but traditional pub environment. Welcomes dogs which is very good for walking groups. Plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is good. Also excellent local Branscombe beer.

Love this place, great location atmosphere food and beer. Very busy on summer weekend evenings but worth the wait at the bar.

We stayed almost opposite the pub for a week and visited most nights for a pint of well kept local beer. The pub was much too busy for our nervous dog most nights so the bar staff kindly allowed us to take our beer back...More

Briefly called in to try the beer brewed (500m) locally. nice atmosphere and environment, living history. plenty of people eating, log fire was on, choice of 3 Branscombe ales. yes i'd come back again. It is a pub, not a restaurant
