We came across Casianos quite by chance—it was the place our hotel could get us a reservation on a very busy night. It was perfect. It is modestly sized and beautifully appointed. The service is exemplary—friendly, efficient and not intrusive. We were surprised to find that there is no menu and that it is a five course (really seven if... More

A truly unique concept, a five course meal and the only question you are asked is " are there any food allergies"? From that point on you receive five tasting courses of the chef's choosing. We had short rib empenadas, shrimp on a bed of spinach, a braised chicken leg, red snapper, new york steak and a wonderful dessert. Great... More

Apparently moved since the listing address above - Manuel Doblado Local B3, Centro As a tasting restaurant, where you get servings of what they're offering that night (they asked several times if we had food allergies), I was worried it wouldn't be enough. Well I was stuffed and very satisfied when the final course came out (9 courses I think).... More

Always our favorite place in Cabo. We have been going since it was behind The Mega and then in Alegran. This year we were met at Alegran site and directed to just off the square in San Jose. The food was as good as always and the service superb. The atmosphere was terrible. Cold and uninviting and most important EXTREMLY... More

Our visit many years ago to Tom Keller's French Laundry came to mind as we enjoyed the 9-course tasting menu at this out of the way lovely, small restaurant off the main square. Recommended by a local, we arrived expecting to participate in Casiano's one menu fits all experience. Starting with a small, delicate gazpacho soup (and with the staff's... More

We eat here on every visit and have followed the chef as he has changed locations through the years. Our last visit was in May and I was surprised that even though it is advertised that the restaurant changes its menu each day to reflect market availability, our menu was almost identical to the one we last enjoyed. Still very... More

This review is for Casiano's Tasting Restaurant. This was a great dining experience. We got the 5 course (which was really 5 main courses with three small bite sized courses mixed in) and it was really good. We didn't love every course but we really liked them all. The highlight were seared scallops done in Mediterranean/Italian style with olives, capers... More

I sure wanted to love this place. I love Dynamita in Nuevo Vallarta so I'm a fan of the concept. When I made the reservation I was clear that my wife is allergic to seafood. Seems that info was not shared with the staff. But ok we get the 5 course meal. I got a glass of wine and was... More

This meal would be a standout in any location or country. I had the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairing which I highly, highly recommend. My dinner companion had the 3 course meal which is plenty of food as the courses don't even include the amuse bouche, bread, pre-dessert, dessert, and post-dessert; however, I would still choose the...
