My husband and myself visited on January of 2016 and 2017. We were never disappointed everytime we dined there, which was several days each visit. The owner Mike was very gracious and accommodating and the service was outstanding. The food was outstanding, both reasonable in price, presentation, and always good to the palate. Never disappointed and will come back on... More

Hole in the wall place on the highway. Great cervical and coconut prawns. Did not care for the Mexican quesidilas as chichen was too shredded and greasy. Everything was overpriced for quantity received. Service was good. . Convenient to where we were staying but two visits was one too many. Did not live up to our expectations based on other... More

Pretty decent Mexican food at a fair, but not bargain prices.Cute inside. Noisy patio along the street however.

Glad you liked the Mexican food, hope you come back and try some of our seafood specialties or breakfast in the future. And yes, Road noise is a problem that I haven't been able to figure out how to get around yet. Perhaps we can seat you inside next time? More

Many thanks to Fabian and Manuel for the top-notch service and hospitality! The food at Sardinia Cantina is very good and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, the menu has many options that are sure to satisfy. The ahi tostadas and the fish and chips were excellent choices. The prices are a bit... More

So glad you enjoyed the meal and the service! We consider our Wait and kitchen staff family and hope that feeling comes across to our patrons. As far as pricing is concerned, perhaps you'll take into account the 16% tax that, by law, we have to include in the prices in pesos, on the menu, might have something to do... More

The breakfast here was really good :) the service was great as well ! My only complaint is it felt pretty spendy for what you got. I read several reviews and no one else mentioned the prices being high. It could have been because it was Christmas week. Not sure. But nonetheless the food was very good :))

Thank you for taking the time to comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the food and service. As far as the prices go, in our defense, I will say that legally we need to include the hefty 16% federal tax in the prices on the menu and That can certainly make us look more spendy then we prefer. And then there's... More

Funky little (and I mean little) place just off the highway and a quick walk from the Bel Air Resort. Wish we had found it sooner! Great menu but we went with the two specials of the evening. DELISH! and the portions were very generous! Two of us couldn't finish ours and we split the leftovers between four of us... More

We have been travelling to San Jose del Cabo for 18 years and have seen the Sardina Cantina evolve from a hole-in -the-wall to the well-regarded restaurant it is today. We have always enjoyed the food in the past and usually dine there several times per visit. However, this year we had a very disappointing experience. Two people in our... More

I am so sorry you had such a disappointing experience. Can I ask, did you talk to anyone about fixing and/or replacing your dinners? We like to make sure everyone is satisfied and happy with their selections, and if not, either replace or take it off the bill at the very least. Again my sincere apologies for the unhappiness you... Incredible food! My husband and I came to San Jose for our anniversary and stayed at Coral Baja. This restaurant was next to the property and recommended to us by resort staff, it did not disappoint! My husband and I each had one of the nightly specials and there was no skimping on the seafood, the portions were sizable. We... More

So glad you enjoyed your meals and happy anniversary! I think you were the two I mistook for being on your honeymoon? Keep up whatever you're doing, it's obviously working and for sure come back before you head home, breakfasts and lunches are just as good as the dinners! More

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Cabo and ate at Sardina Cantina 5 times! Within walking distance from our hotel we first went on Christmas Eve and were welcomed with smiling faces and Christmas music. The food was delicious, fresh and the portions generous! The cocktails were spot on. We returned again on Christmas night and again... More

Pros: Delicious food. We tried coconut prawns and crab cakes. They were both great. Cons: Indoor seating was full, so we sat outside. The patio is RIGHT next to a highway. Loud traffic prevented a conversation. Patio seating is card tables with plastic chairs; I wasn't expecting that. No cards/ cash only I wouldn't call this cheap eats. The prices... More
