We were there just a week ago. 2 of us turned up without a reservation. We had the Menu for approx. 25-27 Euros; just amazing. The Goats cheese salad, followed by the Chicken, followed by the Cheese. Washed down with a nice bottle of St. Aubin. What value! we sat close to the fire. We speak a little French, but... More

Recommended to us, and so glad we went. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and excellent wine list with some interesting choices. Very busy even on a quiet Sunday night. They use an open fire to cook some of the dishes, and some tables are seated around it, lovely and cosy. A real find and one that we... More

We visited with a group of friends. You really have to be into things like pig kidneys and dirty glasses to enjoy that place. It reminded us of a inn in Eastern Europe with a poor service, grubby table setting and crude food preparation. We never visited again and would not recommend this place to anybody.

We came early and enjoyed a wine tasting of Jean Charles' wines in his cave below the restaurant. The wines were excellent Burgundy wines, and the host is a charming Frenchman who speaks great English. After, we headed upstairs to the restaurant and sat by the wood fire. Little did we know that the chef would be using the fire... More

At a first glance, the restaurant looks like a local tavern. Much wood, the decoration reflecting Burgundy winemaker traditions. Most guests so far appear to be locals. Very soon the venue is completely occupied. Hint: get a reservation. The choice of food is not extremely broad, most dishes are "local" cuisine. What we ordered was good, exposing fresh, original flavors.... More

We have, in the past, found reasonably priced good lunch time stops in this area difficult to find. This restaurant provided just what we wanted, pleasant surroundings, good food and good value for money. The day we lunched here was warm and sunny, so we ate on the shady terrace. As one would expect from this area there was a... More

As the restaurant was recommended to us, we had high expectations. The decor is quite nice and intimate although sitting next to the oven is not the best idea. We all had the 29,- menu which was fine for me for the most part; i really liked the petit gratin de queues d'ecrevisses and the starter was okay. The recommanded... More

After a walk through the vineyards, we arrived for an excellent Sunday lunch of fire roasted meat and creamy potatoes. We enjoyed watching the chef place our meat on the open fire but without the windows being open the room was very warm. This is the type of place where the local go after church, so make a reservation. For... More

As before the quality of the food is excellent , the service friendly and the prices very reasonable. Meat from the grill is the heart of the menu, and the Soufflé for Le desert is a must.
