A mandatory stop on my wife's culinary list and I'm so glad! Frijoles charro (beans with pork), gringo al pastore with flour tortilla and cheese and Arabe were all enjoyed with an edge given to the gringo pastore.

The place is easy to find, located along a main street Simple menu - prices reflect the size (i.e. how much meat you'll get), and the type of tortilla. We didnt know, so we just one of each thing - same kinda meat and dressing... loved the salsa! Place is filled with locals - always a plus Basic - don't... More

Original and best - the crazy busy taco arabe joint who invented the arabe - really just a rolled-up taco pastor in a wheat flour tortilla, but excellent nevertheless - and the salsa verde is sensational. Great atmosphere, halfway between a café and a restaurant: theatrical touches provided by the member of staff currently in charge of the big pastor... More

Had a fun evening at Las Ranas. The ambiance is super local and not at all fancy, but it's lively with lots of groups and even a street musician came in and played for part of my meal. The Ranas platter was great and way too big for just 1 person. All very affordable.

We went to both Ranas restaurant (one is just across the street and down the block a bit) during our recent visit to Puebla. They are sort of basic places and not fancy at all but the food was great if you like tacos Arabes, gringas, torts, etc., etc., etc. They did have some other things like beans and drinks... More

Las Ranas is a super stop for tacos in Puebla. It's location is handy and the food is very good. The service isn't super great but things seem to move along & it is a taco joint after all. When in Puebla one must try tacos arabes, it's local specialty and Las Ranas do a good one. There are only... More

These tacos are definitely the best I've had in Puebla, they are tasty....BUT I think some people on here are getting a bit carried away calling them 'best tacos in Mexico', or maybe they have only tried tacos from this region (Puebla/Mexico City area). Anyone who has spent a decent amount of time eating around the Yucantan/Quintana Roo area (or... More

This is a great place to eat if you are in Puebla. You must try the tacos al pastor or the must : queso al pastor, the best thing i have ever eat in Mexico ! It opens at 2 a clock. Be on time there is a huge line after.

It is located just around the corner of the street 5 de Mayo in Puebla (the most important walking street) It is 2 restaurants.. one right across the other.
They specialize in tacos but they serve a few other dishes too.
It is by far the best tacos in the city and I have invited friends from Greece, Norway and all over Mexico and everyone loves them so I can't understand why they aren't listed in tripadvisor yet. They are the best known tacos in the city I am sure
