Went here for a quick lunch Christmas Eve with friends. The atmosphere was nice. The setting is not typical Barbados. The strange Christmas decorations threw off an otherwise excellent decor. The service was very friendly. The cocktails were excellent and the food was very tasty....My only complaint was that the portion of fish was very small. It was a nice place to go for lunch.More

Having visited The Cliff and The Cliff Beach Club for the last 25 plus years I was utterly horrified with the experience we had last night. They have closed The Cliff and in the process treated their staff terribly and transferred it into the Beach...Club. The chef hasn’t even mixed up the menu and has brought Cliff classics across to the Beach club, taken away their original menu and the children’s menu but even worse are now refusing to cater for my gluten free child. Reservations you should be ashamed... we emailed ahead and on our booking (made in the summer) highlighted there are two children on the reservation and one requiring a gluten free diet due to having coeliac’s disease. We have eaten with you for many years and he has always had gluten free bread, a burger, fries and ice cream. At no point did anyone contact us or highlight that we may be faced with an issue upon arrival. What sort of establishment do you call yourselves when you’re unable to cater for a child’s dietary requirements and the manager has to come to our table, after speaking to the chef, confirming that there is absolutely nothing they can give him. We have eaten at Tides, Lonestar, Fish Pot, Nishi, Zaccios the list goes on where they have all been more than accommodating. You left us no other option but to leave... how can you not do some grilled chicken and potatoes? Honestly what a complete shambles. I will never return to any of your rebranded restaurants! You treat your staff and your customers terribly.More

After going to the next door restaurant The Cliff many times and appears to be closed currently we decided to try the Cliff beach club. The best part of this venue is the atmosphere overlooking the sea and watching the large fish feeding. The food...we extremely average, tasteless and our service. I felt there are far better less expensive places to eat.More

Gorgeous setting overlooking the ocean. Food choice very good. Quality and quantity just right. We both had beautiful cut of steak one medium rare one medium. Cooked to perfection. Good wine choice we chose the amarone.

We were so looking forward to our Sunday lunch visit to The Cliff Beach Club. As with most of the our restaurants on the island they invite you to join them for an aperitif before your dinner reservation. We arrived a good half an hour...before our reservation, we were greeted at the front desk, temperature and contact details taken and shown to a bar table by a not very talkative lady who sat us down and left us with two cocktail menus. We admired the view and waited and waited, during the first ten minutes we noticed a lot of staff running around and it all seem a little bit disjointed. Lots of staff came by us, coming and going, it appeared we had disappeared. If you are going to invite people to arrive early, then get them a drink! Its not hard! We noticed other staff on the lower levels talking amongst themselves and their did not appear to be any leadership. We waited another five minutes, talking amongst ourselves, getting a little bit more hot under the collar. After another five minutes and sitting there for a full twenty minutes, we'd had enough. We flagged down the lady who had showed us to the table, to explain the problem, no apology, she just asked us what she could get us. We left. As we left we they continued to argue amongst themselves outside the lobby area. I also overheard the young lady who had seated us tell her boss who appeared to be older than her and more senior that we had only been there ten minutes. This was not true. She clearly lied to cover herself. Luckily, we got a table at Lonestar, had some bottled water within two minutes of sitting down and a bottle of wine within 5 minutes. Sunday lunch was superb. I am giving two as the rating as the lovely men who park your car were very efficient and friendly. I completely agree with the previous review.More

The cliff beach club is a place I always look forward to when arriving in Barbados, especially Sunday lunch! this time was a Thursday night and I have to say the staff were less than enthusiastic, chatting amongst themselves where the table needed service, we...had to wave them down! The bar staff are usually full of beans, not on this occasion! I’m Not sure if it’s a case of mixing the cliff Staff with the beach club staff and there are behind the scene tensions, but they need to get their act together, diners are paying top dollar and simply ask for efficient service with a smile! I am aware the original chef from the beach club has moved to seashed and the cliff chef into the beach club!More

We come here everytime we come to Barbados and we have never been disappointed, good quality ingredients and cooked to a high standard the service is perfect, the staff are welcoming and very attentive. Beautiful surroundings and great atmosphere.
