Fresh tortillas made to order. Cheap. Great specials like mole. Really good pitchers are limeade. Quesadillas are what I normally order. When available, get the squash flower quesadilla. We were in town during low season so it was hard to figure out their hours but that comes with the territory when visiting that time of the year.

My wife and I have eaten here many times over the last three years. Always good food at very reasonable prices. I agree it is a hidden gem, can't understand why more gringos don't attend. Love the chicken enchiladas covered in rojos mole sauce. Large portions. Always a cool breeze floating through the restaurant, instead of the traffic noise and... More

Our friends who live in Puerto Escondido for a few months of the year took us to this lovely place for lunch on our arrival. They assured us the food was authentic Oaxacan and it was! So flavorful and beautifully presented. And such a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. As another reviewer has written, it is an "almost hidden gem".

My husband and I have been in Puerto Escondido for several weeks and have eaten just about everywhere- breakfasts, dinners, or just drinks. With our limited Spanish we have NEVER been able to get eggs " over easy ", or even just fried- always scrambled, and not to my taste. Cafeteria C. is off the main road on a side... More

This place offers an authentic fare without the lax attention one finds some places. We enjoyed the food and the specials they sometimes offer. It has been almost a year since we've stopped in so . . . it is time to visit again!

We order egg and omelet dishes from the menu but a breakfast buffet is often available and very popular. This is flavourful, authentic and generous Oaxaca food. Everything, including tortillas, fresh and tasty. Staff are attentive and helpful. If you do not like sweet coffee please skip and have fresh juice or Aqua mineral.

This is an excellent option for trying local cuisine, thus restaurant is run by their owner so they really take care of you. I really enjoy this place since it's the few restaurants that have that authentic flavor of Cocina Oaxaqueña

In the Carrizalillo zone there are plenty of restaurants in the main boulevard, but move a few streets to find this typical restaurant with real hand made tortillas in a tortilla oven! Ask for gigantic tlayudas or anything corn made, great shrimps and seafood. Stay with local beers as the mezcal selection is not so good.

Home made tortillas, happy service and delicious food. This is real Oaxacan breakfast food here. Make sure you are clear about the coffee you prefer or it will come to you very sweet. We are going back to try dinner one evening soon. Btw, one of the cleanest WC in puerto Escondido and you will go by lovely plants and cheeky... More
