Had a evening meal here with my wife as it was the only restaurant within walking distance of our Hotel, to be honest I wish I had driven to another one. We found the place to be very pretentious, the food just about average. My wife had Sea Bream which was just full of bones, I had pasta which we... More

Tucked away down a side street of Bortrugno, near San Cassino, this is a fabulous restaurant that anyone who loves seafood must visit. As a bonus, the chef's wonderful paintings adorn the walls inside. We ate outside, served by the friendliest of staff after a very warm welcome. We had the antipasto starter of 11 tiny dishes (share one between... More

In the week we spent in Puglia, this was our favorite meal. The chef, owner, and artist-in-residence speaks no English and we speak no Italian, so we missed out on his non-stop chatter, which probably explained what we ate and how it was prepared. We chose the easy road and ordered two sample appetizers, which were supposed to add up... More

La Locanda dei Camini is possibly the best fish restaurant I have discovered in Salento so far. Let Giuseppe guide you through the cold or warm appetizers collection and you won't be disappointed. He is a real master of hospitality and what this land is in the end all about. Unforgettable ! I will miss it badly once I'm back... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the staff of the place where we were staying. Just a word of warning. The shutters under the sign will be shut with no indication where the way in is, which is through what looks like an art gallery further along the road. It would have been kind of the establishment to at least... More

We visit this restaurant last week, because many people suggest it to us. In fact the restaurant is really beautiful inside and also the garden. But the best thing is for sure the Menu, all made with fresh ingredients the presentation of every single plate is sofisticated. We take the appetizers (11 dishes !!) and as main course "Gamberoni di... More

Was recommended by my husband's family. The food was authentic and creative. We sat in the garden area which was lovely on a summer's night. Would highly recommend the seafood antipasti whereby the restaurant owner would come by to your table in a customized cart which he prepares fresh seafood on the spot for you. It was both entertaining and... More
