A group of 8 of us with 2 dogs walked in on a Wednesday night for dinner. Food was prompt and excellent, the pub has a snug and cosy atmosphere and I'd happily go back for a return visit.

Top notch gastro-fare and great beer in a character pub near many of the best sites of interest in the white peak. Very handy for the Monsal trail - about half a mile - and the main Buxton to Bakewell road for easy access.
