A little off the beaten path it is about a 15 minute drive from Lake Louise town centre. The atmosphere is quite and relaxing set in a rustic log cabin with a large wood fireplace. The menu is limited but has vegetarian and gluten free options. The food is very good and a little on the expensive side but we... More

We had dinner here one night while staying at Baker Creek Chalets. What used to be the Bistro is now the Cabin Cafe. The food was very good. I ordered the seafoof spaghetti - shrimp and a lobster tail in a lovely tomato sauce - another person ordered the bison shortribs - again excellent. We ordered the winter salad which... More

Since winter of 2015/2016 when they hired a new chef, the quality of food at Baker Creek has improved dramatically. This new chef knows how to cook. The dinner stew is fantastic, and so were the burgers. NIcely presented, very generous portions, and I understand they do take out to the cabins. Most people come up and cook one night... More

While driving along the Bow Valley Highway - trying to get away from the crowds in Banff and Lake Louise - we bumped into this beautifully located place. There is plenty of outside seating, a lovely wooden swing in the garden and a couple of comfy Adirondack chairs along the adjoining creek. So relaxing! And, of course, the food: yummy... More

My wife and I were staying for a night for New Years Eve. we enjoyed an amazing dinner at the cafe. Scallops for an appetizer and prime rib for the main. We could not decide which we liked more. The dessert was good, but was not in the same league as the first two courses. We also enjoy a great... More

What an awesome choice of restaurant and how lucky are all the guests who happen to be staying on site at Baker Creek Mountain Resort. Honestly, the meals served in this cafe are just as good as any in Banff if not better in my opinion and personally our family doesn't see the need to travel into Banff or Lake... More

My wife and I had supper in the Bistro when we stayed in the resort in Sept., 2016. I noticed another patron had a hamburger dinner that looked good so we both decided to order it along with a soup. What a mistake! I mean that in the best sense as everything was delicious and we had ordered too much... More

Excellent menu with lots of choice, including vegetarians. Ate here three nights as food was good and were staying at resort so a short walk back to room. Locally brewed beer and wine were good. Frequented by locals from nearby Lake Louise so must be good.

Last December, 2015, Baker Creek Mountain Resort changed ownership along with the Bistro. It is set in an attractive log cabin. The new chef has very creative presentations and the food (with locally and regionally sourced ingredients) is delicious. The chicken burger has a wonderful buttermilk crust. The farm-raised in North Vancouver Island salmon was excellent and cooked to perfection.... More

We stopped here for coffee and a break whilst driving along the Bow Valley Parkway. There was a very nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and the prices were good with top-ups of coffee when required. The creek nearby was worth a visit, too - a very pretty little place!
