This is a great little place. I went here on a date and got to enjoy a great prawn noodle bowl and some local music. Wonder atmosphere and genuine service is something Cafe Koi offers for its guests.

Nice little "up and coming" type place with a few different types of food. They offer vegetarian and/or vegan options, as well as standard carnivore friendly options. We enjoyed the coconut curry. Alcoholic beverages also available. They also offer live entertainment from locals on evenings and weekends. Great place for lunch!

On my first trip to Calgary we found out about Cafe Koi from some google searching for a dinner place during our stay. We walked from our hotel to the Cafe and found it packed with people, an amazing vibe and live music playing. We got the last table and I'm so glad we did. The live music (it was... More

Went for a Saturday evening dinner because we heard the food was good and there was local entertainment. We were not disappointed by either. We both had one of their 'Signature Bowls' with Jasmine Rice and a selection of veggies/meat/tofu - delicious! Meanwhile we were entertained by musicians who did not drown out our conversation. We stayed longer than we... More

Came for a quick bite on the way to an event. Service was excellent, food was fabulous. Only reason for 4 out of 5 was the Atlantic Salmon. We must be more conscious with our food choices and impacts on the Ocean. Farmed salmon, except under stringent circumstances, is harmful to wild species we must protect...and, btw, wild tastes so... Quite tasty but overly salty, both mine and my partner's. Nice atmosphere, nice jazz, if too loud, and I would recommend to those who are sodium deprived.

Been there a couple of times and this time it was Jazz night. Had a Jazz quartet playing while dinning and once again we had a great time. Food was excellent. Try the Ginger Beef appetizer. Not your typical ginger beef. This is beef chunks with ginger pieces. We shared between the four of us and that was our only... More

I visited Cafe Koi, a tiny little place in downtown Calgary, twice within a week in February and was unable to get a meal both times. The first time it was too late in the evening and the kitchen had shut down and the second time I arrived at approximately 2:30 P.M. and it was closed until after 4 P.M.... More

Stopped in here with family for a birthday dinner as it had vegan options and it didn't disappoint. The place is cozy but you don't feel too compressed. Our server was very friendly and attentive but slowed down a bit as the night got busier. Our food came out quick though and was very tasty. I had the Bonsai beef... More

Got together with some family over Christmas. Since we love Jazz, we went to Koi. There was a few musicians to listen to and some great food to enjoy :)
