Flavours of the food are authentic, portions are HUGE, service is nothing special but not a concern. We had Penang curry, green curry and Thai basil. All had unique flavours and just the right amount of heat. Worth the trip

Read good reviews about this restaurant so we wanted to try. Came on a weekday dinner but it's quite busy. We were allowed to wait in the hotel lobby (it's situated in a hotel) and we were told 30-45 minutes wait but we waited only about 20 minutes. Service was okay, good food, big portions and priced well. We love... More

Reviewed as a hidden gem for thai cuisine in Calgary, the White Elephant is certainly tucked away in the bottom level of an older motel and is easy to miss if you don't know where you are going. Came here on a Thursday night and the place was packed (good sign usually!). The service was very slow and rushed but... More

Sawaddee Kaa. Fantastic Thai food. So good I ate here 3 nights in a row while in Calgary. If you LOVE Thai food, you have to try this place. BTW it was packed all 3 nights. That speaks volumes.

This little out of the way restaurant serves up some of the best Thai food I've had. Ordered the Dynamite Prawns and wasn't disappointed. Huge prawns in a savoury sauce. I was there at 5pm, order taken and served pronto. The food was over the top!

Friend recommended and I had to wonder when I saw the location BUT this is definitely a hidden gem. It is a small, busy restaurant and only open from 5PM - 9 or 9:30 so your timing is essential. The staff were busy but attentive and the food is exceptional. Highly recommend the White Elephant and tell all my friends... More

We've tried other Thai restaurants in Calgary and White Elephant stands out as the best. The quality is consistently high. You can really tell that whoever is cooking has a love for the food and cares that every meal is memorable. Service is not perfect, so be patient. Get there early so you can be sure to get a table.... More

Love the Thai food here, very authentic, you can pick your spice level. Very busy Place, often just call and take out. My all time favorite dish is the Penang curry with beef, pad Thai and drunken noodles are also very good.

My cousin recommended us to come here for Thai food. We never really had Thai food before so we said why not. It looks like a really weird & hidden location. We tried shrimp pad thai and a few other dishes. It was really good service and not rush for a tiny place. Good food good service. Wed be coming... More

Delicious authentic Thai food. So glad I found this place! Nice atmosphere and huge portion sizes, definitely bring an appetite. Worth the money but the service was something left to be desired.
