I occasionally finish Calgary early and before heading back up the road to Sherwood Park, I stop in for a nosh somewhere. Counting the many times I have not only driven past this location but also flown over it, this seemed to grab my attention on Friday afternoon. Armed with the Calgary Herald and Globe & Mail, I strolled in... More

This is a pub, so for those that are looking for fine dining, this is not your place. For those that want great pub food, good beer selection, and friendly service, this is one of the best places in town. I have not been to the other locations, but the NE Toad and Turtle has never disappointed. The food selection... More

Intrigued by their name and being a pub drew me to the door, along with a foodie friend of mine got me in the door AND glad I did it. Been in plenty of Pubs and along with this one, my comfort level was high. Lots of TVs and friendly staff along with tasty food made me happy. I had... More

Had fish and chips and beet salad. Both very good. Cold salad, hot fish and fries. Very good wait staff and prompt even though quite busy. Waitress asked if I wanted gravy, brown or peppercorn, with the fish. There's a first time for everything. I used the gravy to dip the fries. Peppercorn. Interesting.

went here for drinks with friends, good selection of draft beers. The nachos were OK but Maui ribs were chewy. Maybe cooks should be introduced to sous vide cooking. Service was excellent. Good crowd as well.

Filling appetizers and delicious food! The atmosphere is an authentic pub ...but is it British or Scottish? The waitresses were in kilts

British-style pub is well done and does the job quite well. Menu is varied, with some unique items (including the pretzel bun with Guineas and cheese dipping sauce which I highly recommend). Service is decent and the atmosphere makes a great place to meet with friends. They also have a more restaurant-style side which is quieter, as well as a... More

Description
The Toad 'n' Turtle first opened its doors on December 4, 2001. Ever since then we have been one of northeast Calgary's favorite places to party. We like to think of ourselves as an English pub with attitude. We also, however, take great pride in our culinary skills. We don't just serve up your typical pub food. We have a roof top meat smoker where we smoke all our own meats. Don't worry, we're not all about the smoked meats, even though we do love it, our menu has a large variety for almost any palate. The Toad's menu will keep you coming back for more.
