Friday I decided to try Sir Winstons fish and chips for lunch, a place recommended by my friends. This small, modest restaurant is located in a strip mall. The place wasn't very busy. Service was fast and friendly. The fish and chips (cod $12) were excellent. I also tired the vegetable samosas which were also good. The menu included a... More

Went for lunch. Very nice decor, relaxed interior. Were made very welcome. Very large portions, with 5 choices of fish. Fish is flown in fresh daily. Staff are very attentive. Food was delicious and very large in size.

Went for lunch yesterday and the food was so so. The fries were soft and not crisp at all. The fish was ok but the tarter sauce tasted like mayo. Didn't like it at all. Found out they have changed management. Service was very friendly though. Seemed expensive as it was $42 for 2 orders of one piece fish/chips and... More

Quaint restaurant with lots of British touches in the decor. Tables decorated with various Scottish and Canadian tartans. Our group all had fish. The batter was very light and tasty. Service very friendly. Some interesting choices on the menu such as butter chicken pie. Will go back and try some thing different.

It seems this restaurant has changed their employees for the evening shift. I was really looking forward to an enjoyable evening with my second visit, however, the service was poor this time - unclean serving dishes - and difficulty getting the attention of the server - and horrible washroom - with feces on the wall! Gross. Won't be going back... More

We went for dinner, quaint small restaurant, The establishment tried to create a British atmosphere with different plaids and towels from different British places as tablecloths. Staff friendly. I'm Gluten intolerant, so had the halibut bites with fries.Taste adequate, no extra trimmings etc. Found meal was over priced for what was offered. Have certainly had a much nicer looking presentation.... More

Had a wonderful lunch at Sir Winstons. The owners are extremely personable and really try hard to be the best. The atmosphere is very nice. And more importantly the food was awesome. I am gluten free and they made Halibut Bites and fries that were fantastic. Possibly the tastiest restaurant gluten free I've ever had. The others in my party... More

The people who run this restaurant were friendly and helpful. The food portions were larger than most fish places from my experience.

I was at this restaurant many years ago when it was nothing more than hole in the wall restaurant with little tables but good food. My husband and I were doing some shopping at Southgate and had some time to go for lunch, for whatever reason I remembered that Sir Winston's restaurant was close by and it had good fish... More
