Recently visited Japanese Village with group of eight and found this restaurant perfect for our large group. On the flip side I would not recommend this restaurant for couples looking for romantic night out as you will most likely get paired with other people. We had a variety of steak, shrimp, and lobster within our group and overall it was very... More

The service was awful: 40 minutes between refills, we waited 50 minutes for our bill that never came and had to go to the front to request it, everyone's bills that was sorted out before hand was muddled together, mandatory tip was on the bill as there were more than 7 people in our party (which is normal) but then... A work colleague and I went here for dinner and it was within walking distance of the Fairmont, as she had hurt her ankle and couldn't walk. We've both been to these types of places- magnanimous chef with knives, fresh food and a huge grill around which diners sit and watch. Not sure how they put people together but there... More

My friend and I had dinner here and it seemed like a really nice place. The waitress was really friendly and the food seemed promising. The chef that was cooking our food was really awkward. My friend and I were chatting and he asked why we weren't eating our food. We told him we were waiting for it all to... More

It was a great experience for food and entertainment. The fact that you get to watch them cook your food right in front of you is awesome. As soon as they start putting food on your plate you have to start eating. It's a lot of food

Ate here on a Wednesday evening. Seated with two other couples. Our chef put on a good show and made delicious teppan. Had a frozen ChiChi and was very good. Really enjoyed the chicken/shrimp and veggies. Very polite and friendly staff. Meal was delicious. Would come again!

Made reservations for 4 of us and mentioned our daughter eats gluten free and they were ready with her own sauce and very attentive. Our chef put on a good show, seemed to be new at it but did a very good job and not only served good food but chatted and had some good showmanship. Wait staff was great... More

The atmosphere, the meal, and the service were excellent. They have a very unique way of central open cooking in front of the customers and also getting them involved in the entire cooking process which very entertaining and makes Japanese Village stand out as a excellent place to dine out.
