went for breakfast after skating on Monday morning at the Victoria Oval. We all ordered different items and everyone was really happy with their choices. We recommend the eggs benedict, the huevos rancheros, and even the simple bacon and eggs. Our server (Jessica) was lovely. This resturant has a number of daily features and ingredients are locally sourced. We hadnt... More

The family and I have been coming here for years as it's one of our favourites. Consistent service and food at a reasonable price. Food is prepared from scratch, is fresh and has the best ingredients. Try the turkey dinner, or our family favourite the chicken sandwich with fries and homemade ketchup. Finish with whatever pie is on the menu... More

This place is so consistent. It never disappoints! Try the curry. The homemade fries are so good and the spinach pie is also excellent. Around Christmas they sell Tourtiere to buy and take home. I never miss buying at least three every year. The crust is so delicious and the filling is too.

Service was great, and so was the food. It is definitely not a roomy restaurant, and it can be a little bit crowded at times. However, there is a reason that so many people want to eat here. Probably the second best Eggs Benedict I have had in my life.

This restaurant is everything you want in a home style restaurant. The atmosphere is so comfortable, the specials are what mom would be cooking and the desserts are to die for! They cater to gluten free which is a bonus as well.

The HLD, just south of the bridge,is an Edmonton institution, dating back to 1982. It's a homey, comfy place with old tables and chairs and lots of wood in the interior. Weekend breakfast time is always busy. In good weather, there may be a lineup before opening. The hot cereal of mixed grains (7) is not really cooked - nice,... More

Location is great and downtown. Small parking lot and can get crowded, so be prepared to wait if you're arriving at prime time for brunch. Very cosy interior decor and many of the tables have leaves to expand so you don't end up having to wait as long for a table for your party because most of them are convertible.... More

I have had breakfast several times recently. The menu items are interesting and the cinnamon bun is to die for!! Parking is usually a challenge, so leave extra time for that. I was there twice when it was super-busy (both Friday mornings) and once (mid-week) when it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed breakfast there and will definitely go back. And... More

This gem is still here after all these years (1982) and they just keep getting better. I am so reminded of the small cafes in France and Germany when I walk through the doors. Sunday night was packed with a terrific vibe and great food. Try the Tourtière. We brought one home for Christmas at $32. Well worth the money... More

High Level has been one of my favorite Edmonton places for several years. I wanted to go before Christmas in order to pick up a couple of Tourtierres for the Christmas season for drop in guests. I took my son (adult ) and I knew it would be busy and/or hard to park, but feel it's worth it. Parking tough... More
