Great southern food, excellent atmosphere and superb staff, the gumbo and corn bread is the best I have had and a must stop when in the city

Casual and comfortable, this classic diner has great food and personality! I love the atmosphere in Dadeo, and you cannot go wrong with a Po'Boy (on special Mon & Tues and every day for lunch). I always pair mine with Alley Kat's chili lager (local brew).

I read about this restaurant when searching for a good place to eat lunch. The place has a great vibe to it. There's authentic American southern music. I had craft beer which was great and a southern style chilli dish. It was great! The service was great and the prices are reasonable.

Found this little Whyte Ave Gem and can't believe I have lived here this long without experiencing its wonder!! Amazing authentic Southern Dixie food! I did not expect to find this kind of authenticity outside of the Delta.. but here it is in Edmonton! Amazing Gumbo, charming Blues ambiance with an Old Diner feel... crowded and cozy ALL the time!!... More

The ambiance is a retro diner/Cajun styled theme. Size was somewhat smaller than I expected (~30-40 seats), so gives a nice cozy feel. The food flavour was ok but a little lacking for my palate. The service was ok too. Being on Whyte Ave free parking will need to be found on the backstreets. Price wise considering quality of food... More

Absolutely nothing special here. It's a very busy diner, but it the food is so so. I tried the Blackened Catfish Po'boy Sandwich With Jambalaya Rice as the side. It arrived looking ok, but wasn't much to rave about. I asked for the bun to be slightly toasted. That was a good idea, as the sandwich would have been soggy... More

My boyfriend and I heard from a friend about this diner and we had to give it a try, an old fashioned diner with Louisiana style food? How could you not. The atmosphere was so welcoming, they have the friendliest gentleman at the front named Lucas who was very personable. We grabbed a table near the back where they have... More
