For a takeout order...I was told 20 minutes....the wait was 40....they weren't overly busy....6 tables occupied.....the fish was soaked in grease and batter thicker then need be.
Been here a couple times now and am happy they seem to be doing well, it is always busy in there but usually can get a table with no wait. Recently tried the muscles and they were really good, perfectly salted! It was a lovely...More
my husband enjoyed his fish and chips but I ordered the mussels and they were served dry and cold - very dissapointing
I really enjoy this restaurant every time I go. The mussels are my favourite. It might not be just like home but it's nice for a change every now and then :)

If this is service and food that Newfoundlanders love, I'm really glad I've never been to The Rock. Service was terrible, and the food was worse. I'd love to support a local business but not when they are trying to poison me with grease.
Very very very good! This is the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen! While we were there it was not busy so the waitress tools bucket of water and started washing the underside and legs of the table as well as the chairs. How many...More
