Visited Mon Petit Choux recently for a quick breakfast while in Nanaimo for a convention. The breakfast sandwich on brioche was absolutely fabulous, and they also had my favourite African Sunset tea to compliment it. My 3 companions were also pleased with their selections. Prices are reasonable, service friendly and the little coffee shop is quaint and comfortable.

Even the food was really good there isn't all that much choice. I love eating Lunch here but will pass next time for Breakfast. People very nice and atmosphere is fine, no complaints I just think I would like more choice. Lunch is different and I go there every time and totally enjoy it!

Love this place. I have been taking my granddaughters to this establishment for years after their art class. The atmosphere is great, the staff super friendly and I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal that I have eaten there. Every time I pickup my granddaughter for art class on Saturday's the first thing she asks me is, "are we going to... More

I was in town for a conference with 4 colleagues, and we stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning. The food was very good, and the bakery items outstanding, but the very poor ventilation in the building dampened the experience. The greasy, smoky smell from the cooking was very strong and heavy in the air. It was in our... More

We were feeling the usual post vacation blues after a wonderful Spanish vacay and in desperate need to taste the pastries and espresso found on our trip. A friend had recommended this stop for sandwiches but we decided to try out their pastries. We found what we were seeking - the Americano misto, the latte and the almond croissants were... More

I have been to Mon Petit Choux many times over the last couple years and have never had a bad meal. When I'm in Nanaimo on business I make a point of picking up a box of their pastries including danish, croissants, etc to take back to Vancouver. They are delicious and remind me of some of the best French... More

The decor was a welcome change from the usual chain restaurant. The food was very good. Not a place to go to if you are in a hurry, which we were not.

The decor has a French look to it and the coffee and pastries definitely have a French taste to them. We had the chocolate croissant and it was light and flaky - very good, as was the coffee. Would certainly go there again.

Thank Ann H
