2 Chefs Affair is a cozy, hole in the wall kind of place, with a rustic feel. It is open concept and service is very quick. They have a nice variety of breakfast/lunch options, and they make great coffee. If you are by yourself or in a small group, I recommend giving this charming cafe a try.

Small informal restaurant with nice luncheon fare. Was'nt impressed by the only warm coffee at the start of the meal -- but commented later, and they did serve up a nice fresh hot cup. Not open for dinner, but they do have some nice frozen take-out take-home dishes.

This restaurant was highly recommended but was, unfortunately, highly disappointing! - The was a guard removed from the electrical and compressor unit above the fridge right in the eating area - it was dusty, and questionably unsafe. - The table tops (all, not just ours) were very sticky. The server indicated "don't worry, it's just the varnish". Tabletops in this... More

I ordered the Old Soul, this is how it is described on the menu.. "The wonderful ancient grain Quinoa is paired up with fresh baked apples and pears, cinnamon, maple syrup, almond butter, and topped with fresh vanilla bean yogurt to make a filling and delightful breakfast porridge." I imagined a beautiful dish with a generous helping of poached apples... More

This is one of our favourite breakfast spots in Nanaimo. The service is great, and the food is always fresh. The frittata is my husband's favourite, and mine is the roasted tomato egg scramble. Service with their delicious homemade jam and homemade ketchup for the hash browns. Yum!
