We enjoyed a few orders of halibut fish and chips for take out and enjoyed immensely. The tartar sauce is amazing.

We had a rainy day in Nanaimo, so decided to spend lunchtime at Trollers. No regrets. This is really nothing more than a fish shack on the jetty in the yacht harbor, but the fish & chips & oysters were lovely.

This place is definitely a hotspot in the summer months, its pretty tough to get a table here. The experience is a good as can be expected when you window order and sit where you can find a spot or take it to go. The fish and chips are pretty good overall, but I can't say they are the best... I came here expecting a lot because of the reviews however i found everything fairly average. The idea of Trollers is cool, sitting right on the water. The chips were very flavorless and the fish was average

This is a floating take out type place with seating on another floating plank, good fish and chips and we enjoyed our meal.

This is a small take out joint right on the dock, where friendly conversations start up between strangers. I don't particularly like fish and chips, but I couldn't get enough of the halibut. So fresh and tasty. A little pricey, but entirely worth it!

This floating kitchen was recommended by the Tourist Information people. Coming from Ontario, we looked forward to some fresh local fish and hopefully generous portions since the fish is local. Sadly, we were disappointed. The fish was greasy, the portions tiny and the price very expensive, especially considering that we ate at their no frills communal picnic table without waiters... More

While touring Vancouver Island, we stayed in Nanaimo and walked downtown to the waterfront for some shopping and of course eating. We looked at several menu's of restaurants located in the area and we decided on this one because of the price, as well as it boasting to be the best fish and chips around. We ordered both the halibut... More

Trollers was the first fish and chip restaurant we went to when we came to Nanaimo. So I had a chance when my daughter came here with her son and grand children. To take them there. The service was good and great atmosphere. They enjoyed the meal and got lots of food
