Came for lunch and was very happy to see such a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan foods. My boyfriend loves meat and he even enjoyed what we had. I will definitely be back to try more!!

This establishment also has a general store you can shop at after you eat...curry for one is just over $5, $2 extra if you want rice...my favorite treat that I took from the dessert case was the Vegan Almond Rocher...it seems like it would be simple enough to make at home, but for $3, why not try theirs? Wish this... More

I love this place. Healthy eating without feeling hungry or deprived. I had the split pea soup and the samosas, both of which were filling and flavourful. Not a lot of seating, but take-out is an option. Highly recommended.

Lots of tasty food options for vegans that even meat eaters will like. Indian style hot foods and tons of baked goods. Really liked the chocolate ginger bar and chai almond bar. The Nanaimo bar does not taste like a typical Nanaimo bar at all, it's full chocolate flavour, which disappointed us as we were expecting it to taste like... More

We went to Vancouver for new year Fireworks. we went to sweet cherubim before and decided to have a sandwich as I was not really hungry. It was so yummy and healthy. It had avocado in it which is really good for heath. some of my friends were vegan so it was a best place for them as well.

I went to Sweet Cherubim for first time for my dinner and had a Vegan veggie burger. It was really healthy and yummy. It is a place where a person can get vegan food easily and have many vegan options. It had an Indian atmosphere with soft music which was the part I liked. They even sell the Bakery products... This is an interesting place because they have many vegan options (without dairy cheese) that are less common (indian style). The food itself is tasty but nothing spectacular. I had the Pakoras, a Sandwhich and a Smoothie. The best part was the smoothie, the pakoras and sandwhich were like any other deli really. I still appreciate the restaurant for having... More

Good vegan, primarily Indian food, varied menu, enjoyed the special of the day, but the lady on the till, forget to give me the juice included in the price, and forgot one of the items requested. Had to go back and ask again. The vegetarian among us loved their orders. Order at the counter, and wait 5-10 minutes, basic service.... More

Staying in Commercial Drive

Neighbourhood Profile
Commercial Drive
Commercial Drive, also called "The Drive," comprises of twelve sauntering blocks of modest and unfussy counter-culture. Straddling the line between sophisticated and unadorned, it is favoured by students, artists, writers, designers, and start-ups, and suffused throughout with a healthy off-beat counter-culture. The kind of neighbourhood which well-springs thought-revolutions and has the odd bit of self-aware graffiti, Commercial Drive has resisted gentrification in favor of continuing to build a thriving den of affordable multiculturalism. Once known as Vancouver's "Little Italy," it has also been the immigration point for Guatemalans, Hondurans, and Portuguese to the city. The resulting hodgepodge makes for poetry readings in espresso cafes, social debates in early-open bakeries, and eco-activism posters pinned up in the many multi-ethnic markets in the area. Commercial Drive is where you go to feel like a local, and if you have them, bring the kids – The Drive has a number of bookshops, toy stores, and attractions to get them involved too.
