Love this place! It has a cozy and unpretentious vibe. They make an amazing chai latte and a crazy-good cinnamon bum. As well as a damn good cup of coffee! They have lots of vegan options too: I strongly recommend the pumpkin spice muffin and the lemon one. A perfect place to linger awhile, reading or even work a bit.

Finally, a real coffee house! Lots of baked goods, cookies, etc. There's live music at times and a couple books you can pick out to read. A really good place for meeting with friends. The coffee tastes a lot better than the big chain ones, mostly because they don't press a button to make these coffees.

Good hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls. Live music makes it a great place to go and relax when tired of watching tv.

Lots of chairs by the windows and sometimes outside. They have a small amount of baked goods, cookies, and not coffee beverages. It's a lot better than a certain international coffee group out of Seattle which has a mermaid on its logo.Service varies- sometimes really nice, other times you really regret tipping

Last Saturday we checked out the area of main around East Broadway. Usually we visit the area of Main around Kind Edward. Anyway we eventually needed a coffee. Lucky’s Donuts and Bean Around the World were packed so we continued north to East Broadway and found Our Town Cafe. Managed to get a nice window seat. While most of their... More

I live near the café and have been going to do computer work each week for a few hours. Staff are super friendly and have a welcoming attitude. Lots of seating, can get busy but I can always find a spot to sit! Best to charge your devices before heading here; limited plug access but if you're in a jam... More

I'm all for supporting independent funky coffee bars especially the rare ones that sell booze. But when my pint is poured with 15% foam head and I politely mentioned that it needs to be topped up, but all I get is a sulky look, then all empathy is lost. A pint is a pint -- chest tout! It's basic service.

I had hot chocolate, which was really good. The music was really relaxing. Tables and seats were cozy. A good place to relax, hangout with friends, or a little bit reading. By the way, the staff were friendly. :) I love this place.

I went to the wonderful Our Town cafe, and couldn't stop going all month until I tried everything on the menu! I must say, the bacon panini is to die for, and the only thing better looking is the barista behind the bar, #babe #babetown... Five stars.. And the coffee was great too! ;)

Better coffee than all the rest... And the staff are really friendly! I don't usually stick around; tend to get my coffee to go but the atmosphere is very "come as you are" and I love that! Their soups are delicious too.

Neighbourhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
