Stopped in for lunch. The Chicken Clubhouse sandwich was awesome, but, the server wiped down our table with a really stinky cloth and we had to endure the stink for our meal.......plus had to track down my own cutlery......

We were at the Museum of Vancouver and asked for a recommendation for lunch. A few blocks away was a neighborhood jewel. We had the lamb sandwich and the vegetable sandwich with mozzarella plus Italian sodas. They also have an intriguing menu of breakfast dishes and a coffee bar. Really good food in a pleasant, pine-paneled setting reminiscent of European... More

We came with a little boy in tow and were thrilled with the quality and quantity of food, not to mention the enthusiastic welcome and provision of delicious organic maple syrup. The pancakes were huge and delicious and we even scored a double-yolked egg! We'd recommend this cozy spot on rainy days and with kids.

For a fresh bowl of soup I'm willing to do any trip in lover mainland. And so far this eclectic neighbourhood bistro never failed me.

Juliet's Cafe is a handy location when visiting the Museum of Vancouver (MOV), the bacon and eggs (eggs prepared to perfection) was spectacular and arrived piping hot. Be careful not to park on Cornwall Street during the rush hour or you'll be looking for your car.

We had spent the morning at the Maritime Museum and were planning on a walk along the sea wall, but needed lunch first. We found Juliet's Cafe on the corner of Cypress and Corwall. They have a good select of breakfast and lunch items on their chalk board. We both had sandwiches, which were not accompanied by either salad or... More

We were starving after walking from downtown to the museum and we got into this little cafe to grab a sandwich. We choose the 11 dlls lamb sandwich and a soda. The lamb was surprisingly good. It was a shame the bread was too hard and had just a few pieces of meat. The decor is cozzy but a little... More

Order up front and then find a table, pub style. Comfortable. Pleasant atmosphere. Between Burrard Bridge and Kits Beach.

I came here late Sunday morning with a group of friends. I have been to this cafe occasionally over some years. It is a cafeteria-style place. One stands in line while one cashier takes each order. This made for a long line-up in our case. A waiter brings each order from the kitchen and does nothing else - no refills,... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
