We enjoy tea at the Fairmont properties. This one is not as classic as the one in Victoria but great nonetheless.

We had an amazing time. It was carnival themed. Very private room, intimate. Several desserts snd sandwiches served with our choices of tea. Service was great and attentive. A must!

My husband and I booked afternoon tea at the Fairmont expecting a lovely venue in line with both the impressive exterior, and with the sister hotel in Victoria. Imagine our disappointment when we were led down from the very dated-looking foyer into what looked like a dark 1960s bar in the basement, with not a window in sight. The "Mad... More

Moved up from the ground floor to the fifteenth floor, the venue, now called Tea At The Top has great city views and on a winters afternoon it was great to see the sun set, across the harbour and the Straits of Georgia all the way to the peaks on Vancouver Island. A good selection of Indian and Sri Lankan... More

In a real afternoon tea city, this is one of the upscale establishments that at least tries to accommodate celiacs. Bravo. However, the selection of tasty treats presented disappointed: jello, a very tiny piece of chocolate, a muffin with peace preserve, a few tiny uninspired sandwiches. It all left me feeling frustrated. Come on Fairmont. Try harder. There are more... More

The table setting was very pretty. Our server, Cindy, was perfect. Scones were delightful. We really enjoyed the asparagus sandwiches - the rest if the food items were just ok. The harpist was not in attendance when we were there. The most distracting and disappointing aspect was the bar opened right into the tea room. We did not enjoy seeing... More

My girlfriend & I spent a couple of hours of pure bliss just sipping tea and eating delicious petite sandwiches & cakes. The service was attentive and not once did I feel like I was being pushed out of the door. The atmosphere was quiet, comfortable and you felt totally at home. It was a nice way to finish up... More

It was ok. My partner wanted to do it. $35 each for tea and little sandwiches was steep. The scones and cream were quite good and eclairs were wonderful. Rest was just ok. Decaf tea options - other than herbal - would have been nice.

Scones and brie croissant - excellent! Tea - excellent. Setting and comfy couches excellent. Other savory items - neah. Other sweet items - okay. Service slow and not really good at all, we had a few servers.

If you enjoy afternoon tea, the Tea at the Castle won't disappoint. We've been here several times and their service is consistent. I'm glad they finally put the prices of the champagne on the menu. The previous visit, we were rather surprised that the 3 flutes of champagne were $28 each. This time they have a menu and you have... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries.
