When I saw the signboard with the "weather forecast" at this bar/restaurant, I knew I had to try it. It was a lovely place to sit outside and watch the walkers, bikers, skaters and boaters go past. Good food and outside heaters for cool evenings.

A little pricey, but you are right on the seawall. To be expected, but worth it. Will return in the very near future.

Went to this pub type restaurant a couple times the past week. Excellent fish & chips, Caesar salad and shrimp roll. Will be back.

One of our days in Vancouver, BC, we couldn't make up our minds where to have lunch. I had noticed we had passed Burrard Bridge Marine Bar and Grill when riding our bikes the previous day so we headed over there. Glad we did. First, what a great location sitting out on the harbor. The food is great and plenty... More

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch time meal and a couple of pints of Bridge ISA, out on the veranda for around $40.00 Canadian. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant attentive staff.

Service is friendly but slow/mediocre. The food is not that great, I would not have a full dinner here and it is $$$ ($18 for small portion of nachos). It is really for a drink, an appie and the view of Granville Island and people watching. The bike and pedestrian lane is shared so it makes for interesting times. It... More

Popped in for a beer and quick snack had a portion of wings and a side of fries, the fries (chips) are the best in Vancouver so far proper size for chips nice and crispy. Service was also good.

We enjoyed the fresh breeze off the marina where the Bar and Grill sits. The chicken Cordon Blue was delicious. The blueberries in the salad was a tasty addition. The home made balsamic vinaigrette was delicious itself. The lagers were a well-fit complement. A delightful lunch.

Settled here for dinner after an evening stroll along the water front. The view and ambiance is hard to beat in any seafront city, but the food was very so-so. The wine selection and service was good, but my pizza dish was average and overpriced.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
