While spending a couple of days and nights moored in False Creek we were looking for a venue with live music and good food. And we discovered Frankie's. A limited Italian menu but when the Dave Robbins Sextet took the stage it was all about the jazz. We really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere of the place. We will... More

The room next to the dining room has live jazz some evenings that can be heard from the main restaurant. I probably enjoyed it more with the walls between us as it added a nice flavor to my experience. Even though I was by myself, I was offered a 4-person table in a nice location, which I appreciated. The food... More

Stayed in the hotel that Frankie's is loacated in, and had dinner and breakfast for 6 people. Both meals were good, and although the food was not remarkable, it was certainly fine. Lasagna was huge, and rather strangely assembled, but quite tasty. Seafood linguini was excellent. They were a little skimpy on the olive oil and balsamic for the table.... More

Recommended by the owner's cousin from back home, we chose to try Frankie's and are so happy we did. Called at 6:30pm for a 7:15pm reservation, no problem. Lovely hostess seated us right away, asked which table we preferred. Lovely decor, excellent staff. Started with polenta fries and sautéed garlic shrimp with San Marzano tomatoes, both generous portions and very... More

The alto saxophone player PJ Perry played with a fabulous combo. Cool jazz and a great vibe. We stayed for two sets. We ordered white bean Cannellini dip with crostini, panzanella salad and the Margherita Pizza we added mushrooms and green olives. All the food was quite good. We had a bottle of the San Christina Chianti which paired nicely... More

My friends and I decided to eat here after a late game since it is attached to the hotel we stayed at. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. There was low lighting and and a candle on every table. Our waiter was fantastic, very nice, and friendly. One of my friends has a serious allergy to gluten, so she... More

Two couples went to Frankie's for dinner because it was mid-way for us, and close to transit. We had (our test item) calamari -which were unremarkable, and tried the arancini - which were god-ball sized, unlike their Sicilian counterparts that are more oranges or grapefruits. Looked nice enough, but was bland. While my Italian is passable - some of the... More

WE went to Frankie's on a Monday night, which is a quiet night in most towns. We were looking for Jazz and a meal and we certainly found it. There was a 16 piece jazz big band with three extra singers. It was full on from 8pm. The food and wine was excellent and the staff coped well with a... More
