My friends and I went to Finch’s Tea & Coffee House for brunch on Saturday morning. I always want to try this coffee house out before.I was so excited that I had a chance to try it. Finch’s Tea & Coffee House opened at 11 am on Saturday. The location of the coffee house is near to Chinatown Skytrain Station.... More

Pleasant place to eat very good and uncommon sandwiches on a basique of baguette. The decor is vintage. Coffee was very good.

I really enjoy the food here and since discovering it a few months ago, I've become a regular. The ingredients are of excellent quality, the atmosphere is unique; it feels like a hole in the wall. You can tell they go the extra effort, even the banquettes to go are beautifully wrapped. Highly recommend

This place has some great sandwiches on fresh baguettes and they serve nice soups during the week. There is a line around lunch time, but worth waiting in line.

Very tasty breakfast and delicious coffee in a relaxed environment. Popular with students but I'd imagine most in search of decent fare would feel comfortable here.

Excellent fresh ingredients - good price point for what is offered -- 8" fresh baguettes stuffed with options, surprising that they stay together so well! The blue Brie is delicious. Only complaint is that their online menu should be updates as the only baked goods they have are cookies - disappointing when you want tea and scones.

Staying at Victoria Hotel this little place was wonderful to come across so close. Our love affair began with coffee, then the next morning they served us up a very tasty breakfast with amazing coffee. The staff are just lovely and very helpful. Do not pass it by if in the area.

This antique looking tea house and Cafe always has a lunch time lineup because the place is only open till 5 pm. The owners don't believe in working longer than a regular workday :). Their sandwiches are truly artisan as it starts with their own home made baguettes in their Strathcona location which serves the same food but also sells... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
