So the place is busy because the food is good (not stellar but good nonetheless) but really I guess we got the bad server, although I don't remember her name. She was absent most of the time and was even rude at one point, point blank saying to one of the members of our group with an accent "I can't... More

We were walking around Yaletown and came upon this place. It was crowded on a Wednesday night, but we were able to get a seat right away. The vibe was great - it was personal and intimate, while being upbeat and lively at the same time. We had the short ribs and the trout - both were great. The pork... More

We live in Seattle and visit Vancouver frequently. We discovered the flying pig a few months ago located in gas town. Our first visit we had an amazing tasty brunch. Tonight we went for happy hour plus dinner. We sampled the pulled pork sliders on a brioche with their own homemade slaw. My wife just love them. Additionally we ordered... More

I came here with two friends on a quiet Tuesday evening at 7pm. Our server was really nice and I felt well taken care of. I ordered the truffled jumbo macaroni (which I've had at other locations and is good), the mussels and fries appie and maple sugar pie for dessert. I was stuffed and I didn't even eat any... More

We arrived as a walk in, which was OK as they don't take bookings anyway! It was the busiest of all restaurants in the area and we could see why. Great friendly service including some very good wine advice. We shared a meat an cheese platter for starters. Really enjoyed it along with a nice bottle of local Syrah, which... More

Smoked salmon eggs benni, breakfast sandwich, and one huge hash brown. Good service, and not over the top.

My friend and I ordered mussel and it is sweet and a bit spicy and still have the freshness. I had half chicken with veggie. Chicken is not so tender and less juicy. Service is excellent! I accidentally knocked over a drink and he gave me another one for free!

The food was SO GOOD I couldn't even stop to take pics! We started with steamed mussels and then shared a platter for two (the special that day). The mussels were incredible, done in a white sauce with back bacon, and the platter had steelhead trout, steamed veggies, braised BBQ pork, poutine and salad!!!! EVERY ITEM MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH!... Second time in a month. Good friendly service, easy casual environment. Recommend the wedge salad and the Brussel sprouts. It's a good spot to stop off in Gastown after shopping.

Stopped in on a rainy day and sat at the bar. The appetizer plates were plentiful and the options were many. Very good local craft beers on draught and good wine selections by the glass.Bartender was fun and gave great service with a super attitude

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
