Server was not attentive to our needs. He took away our wine glasses without even asking us. We had to ask for bread. Asked for water. Did not even ask if our meal were alright. Overall experience was poor. We had duck confit that were dried, sausages that were burnt, beans that were like left over from breakfast. Definitely not... More

A friend suggested we should go for dinner here for my moms bday. A really great quaint place with good quality food. The service was friendly and the owner is working the room. I will go back for the steak and fries !!!

Came here with friends for dinner. Our local first choice dinner place was booked solid. Lots of space here and it was close by. Seemed to be a primarily older female clientele. Over $200 for 3 people.. on the expensive side considering there was just on alcoholic drink Service was good and personable. The food was on the lower side... More

We had dinner for eight during the week when things were not too busy so we were able to chat with Mr Martin about his vegetable garden and his trick for importing wines(you will just have to go and ask him) We tried some of his homemade Creme de Cassis in our kir royals and noticed right away that these... We were able to walk into this French restaurant on a Friday night at dinner time and be seated without a reservation. I'm not sure why one has to be seated beside other people who are already seated when the restaurant is half empty but that's the way it was. The waiter was nice, obviously really French, and the atmosphere... More

When my friend and I entered the restaurant I was thrilled to see the French flavoured layout, the décor and even the greetings we received from the owner. However, the problem started when I asked questions about the wines. I saw a Pinot Gris on the list and asked if it is Pinot Gris style or Pinot Grigio. The owner... More

Feels like a little piece of France. It's a cute bistro with a nice atmosphere. Second time here and doesn't disappoint. The food is simple and tasty. We always finish our plates here. The service is great. If you're looking for a great date place or just dinner with friends, you can't go wrong with the French Table.

Herve, the owner, was on the floor that night and welcomed us to his restaurant. " You will most certainly have the chanterelle mushrooms as an appetizer." There was no denying his charm, engagement and knowledge. For example he knew his mushrooms and actually still picks some of them. But he didn't stop there, we wandered through several topics including... More

As we had tried almost every restaurant on Main street there was still the french table to discover. It is almost hidden in trees yet the front patio is nice and right on the street. There are 4 parking spaces at the back, a bonus for this busy area. We had the crepes for brunch and were typical of what... More

Description
Welcome to The French TableFormer Master Executive Chef Herve Martin is proud to present his newest eating establishment, The French Table. Nestled cosily in the Riley Park area on Main St & 23rd Ave, it’s a far away from the former Hermitage restaurant, which was a downtown staple on Robson Street for 24 years until last year. After the developer announced new plans, Herve patiently and rightfully re-located to an area that’s ripe for a surburban French cuisine in this up and coming, bustling area. The French Table still carries the tradition of its former self, especially with the outstanding first class servers, whom he successfully carried over but also has a modern flair. Clean lines, open room, first comes into mind when first stepping inside. Unlike the traditional white table cloths, Herve cleverly designed its logo under the glass tables bearing The French table signature, a very nice touch. Tables line the walls for best view of everything. You can select from a menu created by Master Chef Herve Martin and served in the traditional French style. The critically acclaimed wine list boasts one of the best selections of Burgundy wines in Vancouver and is highlighted with exclusive wines from the family winery in Chamilly, France.
