The servers acted as if they disliked their jobs. The food was ample, but plain. The price was higher than the food was worth. Other that that, it was what it was. Nothing bad, but nothing great, either.

This is an OK restaurant. There are a lot better in the city. The soup I ordered was bland and needed salt. My lunch partners ordered the vegetarian bowl and they said it was delicious. He place is clean and service was good. There are better in the city.

Went there on our first day in Vancouver. Nice looking restaurant on the inside. Very nice waiter that took good care of us. Party of 5, so we tried many dishes. The pho was better than other restaurants that we ate while we were there in Vancouver. They had all the condiments that is needed to make it to your... More

The décor was beautiful, the service was okay at best, but the food was not up to par to me. I have eaten Pho at restaurants in five different states and Canada and theirs was in the bottom five. Atmosphere: 4 I really liked the décor. It felt upscale, updated, and comfortable. Service: 2 I was no thrilled with the... More

We had a (large) bowl of chicken in broth with large rice noodles, a serving of spicy chicken wings and a combination serve of prawns, pork skewer, meatballs, pork on sugar cane and spring roll plus rice noodles and bean sprouts. It was passable, probably the combo was the better dish. The chicken noodle was fairly light on chicken and... More

A semi-casual, but warm setting, this restaurant serves big bowls of pho and many other dishes. Every time I've gone for lunch, I'm been very satisfied. Prices and service are excellent.

While visiting Vancouver for a day, we ended our tour with a stroll in China town. With all the homeless people and drug addicts wandering around, gathered in groups in front of the shelters there or mingling with the crowd, it felt unsafe to walk in that part of the city. A couple of hours into our tour on foot... More

It was toward the end of the evening an we were looking for dinner most places in the area were closed. This was not and had some patrons eating (always a good sign). We had some delicious food. The basil beef was especially good.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
With the recent exodus of massive new building projects hitting the neighbourhood, Chinatown; which has always been one of the city's most vibrant areas; is even more buzzing and buoyant than ever before. Playing host to some of the city's best pan-Asian cuisine, from fusion food to traditional home-cooking, Chinatown has remained faithful to its roots as a space which clambers with shop signs and welcomes diners to the table. More that that, it has a hip experimental vibe to it, with trendy pop-ups and catchall market shops. The biggest of Canada's Chinatowns, it is also home to an expansive Chinese garden whose manicured grounds inspire and delight, its ponds and pagodas drawing walkers in for an stroll. Take in the red streetlights, the playful awnings, and the upbeat air that suffuse this area.
