We try most of the famous dim sum in Vancouver and we heard about this place so off we go and checkout our selves. Parking is huge at the 3 floor which is a big plus with people who wants to drive to get here....More

A long favorited for benevolent associations, Chinatown associations and even parliamentary parties the floata seafood restaurant is a venue that can hold over 1000 guests. The Chinese food at night time is a bit pricey but the dim sum is moderately priced.

We just had a delicious 8 course dinner, including Peking Duck and lobster hot pot. Everything was served piping hot and the service was excellent. We had other good home style cooking dishes such as sticky rice with chinese sausage, spicy beans, broccoli and beef....More

Large Chinese restaurant with dim sum. They had pictures for the different dishes and ordering was self-marked on an order sheet. We are used to the dishes being carted around and keeps us from ordering too much. This way, we over ordered. The dishes were...More

So happy to find this wonderful place for dim sum. Large dining room on second floor 1 block west on Keefer from the Sun Yat-Sen garden. Large menu and everything we tried was terrific.

I had the shrimp dumplings. They were hot, fresh, large and delicious for $6 per 4. There is parking for the restaurant. You order off a menu, they don't come around with carts.

This place was recommended by the local. It was almost 5pm when I arrived, so no more dim sum was served. They had dinner menu instead. I ordered hot and sour soup, scallops and black fungus, and general Tso's chicken. I was not too impressed....More

This restaurant is located in the building on the Southeast corner of Columbia and Keefer Streets. We arrived around 12:15 and the restaurant was not overly busy; maybe a 100 guests in this cavernous restaurant. My spouse and I shared the following: • Chiu chow...More

With the recent exodus of massive new building
projects hitting the neighbourhood, Chinatown; which
has always been one of the city's most vibrant areas;
is even more buzzing and buoyant than ever before.
Playing host to some of the city's best pan-Asian
cuisine, from fusion food to traditional home-cooking,
Chinatown has remained faithful to its roots as a
space which clambers with shop signs and welcomes

Are there gluten-free options? I am intolerant, not celiac, so gluten-free friendly is enough for me.

Hi Tom Where would you recommend for Dim . We have been in V for 5 days and Chinatown is a disappointment. Just a lot of dodgy restaurants and full of street people. Thanks Paul.

Floata in Chinatown is one of the best. Also, Sun Sui Wah is excellent,in Richmond or Vancouver locations.
