I don't know why this place is not higher on the list, maybe more locals go there and do not submit a review. This resturant was far better than the other one that sits on the harbour seawall that we had tried two nights before. We had scallops served over pork belly for an appetizer and it was so delicious. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Our main coarses were also excellent. We sat on the deck which was so lovely. We got to watch the sea planes land and the locals from the rowing club as they practiced. A big plus was spotting the harbour seals popping up their heads. What an enjoyable evening!

We went with friends to this trendy restaurant on Coal Harbor. I had the Green Curry with Tofu and my wife had the Chicken Dinner with veggies, sautéed cranberries and potatoes. Food was very good, fresh and tasty. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive.

Enjoy a memorable dining experience at Lift! The brunch was truly excellent! My favourite is the traditional eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce one of the best! compliments homemade style hash browns! The water views and beautiful appointed room elevates a warm, welcoming experience, personalized service, beautiful ambience and an array of delicious brunch menu items always makes Lift top notch! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Every time we go on a trip, we always have the most horrible experience of this restaurant they run out of food. There’s no coffee. The chef didn’t show up. Last time we were there, they only had one item on the menu. After about 30 or 40 people in line, they waited until they opened to tell everyone they only had one food item available for breakfast. Every time we’re there is horrible. The food is horrible. The service is horrible. I don’t understand how the Vancouver airport was rated the number one food and drinks clearly they didn’t eat at this restaurant.

I have no idea what the food is like in this establishment but can only comment on their total lack of courtesy. I wanted to make a brunch booking and PAY IN ADVANCE for two friends who are visiting Vancouver prior to an Alaskan cruise.
I completed an online contact form, followed that up with two emails and finally sent a personal letter to Bob Lindsay, the proprietor. All of these communications have been ignored.
I can only assume that the food is so good in this restaurant and they are so confident of their position as one of Vancouver's leading restaurants that they can afford to ignore legitimate requests from prospective customers.

We went to Lift for a late lunch/early dinner during happy hour. When we arrived at 3pm we were told to come back in 20-30 minutes as they were no longer taking walk ins (despite the restaurant being almost empty and no reservations coming in the meantime). We waited outside for 25 minutes and went back to the hostess to be seated.
We ordered drinks, then ordered our food shortly after. We got oysters to start. The oysters weren’t chilled, and they arrived before we got our drinks. We had mac and cheese lobster for mains and fish and chips. The lobster mac and cheese was luke warm and tiny, there was a hair in the tartar sauce with the fish and chips. There was also a hair in our water glass. When the waitress eventually came back to us to clear our plates after not once checking our meal was okay, we pointed out the hair in the sauce and the water. Her response was ‘are you done with your dinner though’. No acknowledgement or apology. She proceeded to avoid us for the rest of our time at the restaurant. We asked for the bill. After serving every other table in the area and leaving us wait 15 minutes, she finally came back with the bill, threw it on the table and walked away. After waiting a further 10 minutes for her to come back with the machine, we got up and paid at the counter. We were charged in full for a meal with a hair in it, and shocking service to go with it. We will not be back!

Lift just shines on warm summer days and evenings! Much of the restaurant is open air, thanks to huge glass doors that open wide and many tables placed on three different deck spaces. Every table has an incredible view of the water and yacht clubs of Coal Harbour, with Stanley Park and the mountains in the background. We sat at a lovely table literally right over the water - just gorgeous! We enjoyed a yummy dinner starting with sharing a very generous, delicious salad and Humbolt Squid, followed by beautifully prepared Trout and Halibut. We were surprised by a complimentary dessert for two to help us celebrate our anniversary! The service was excellent, and the ambiance was lovely, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a perfect spot to enjoy brunch or an excellent seafood dinner combined with a magical location on a summer evening, this is it!

We walked from our hotel to this nearby restaurant and wow, we are so glad we did. We knew it would have nice entrees to choose from but the ambiance was nicer than I expected and the service was absolutely amazing. The server asked if we were celebrating anything and we said not tonight but we flew down to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Saturday and the chef sent out an amuse-bouche and a dessert on the house. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the service was friendly and attentive. Our server warned us that this was her first shift. Well I think she did more than okay and thank you for the lovely evening!

We were staying at the Westin Hotel so this restaurant was just outside the back door. We went the day we arrived in Vancouver and went to their happy hour to relax after our flight into town.
It was a beautiful, warm September day so we opted for seating on the upstairs deck. They weren't busy when we arrived so we had a table next to the rail overlooking Coal Harbour just off the larger Vancouver Harbor.
In addition to drink we ordered the prawns, poutine and flatbread. The menu was not large but it fit our late afternoon needs. The best of the bunch was the prawns. The flat bread was large. The poutine lacked the squeak I expect on my curds but was still good. The prices were reasonable and the service was very good. We would go back.

Pluses - went on a Thursday and was directed to free parking in a nearby garage that actually worked! Mocktails were good. Main dishes were very good. Hostess very ingratiating.
Minuses - My fault I guess, didn't look closely enough at photos online when searching "restaurants with view." It has a nice view, from the second (top) level, of the waterway and hillside across the water. No panoramic view of city and mountains.
Calamari was a bit tough. Waiter passed many times without refilling water.
Expensive, but with further research the restaurants with a better view also are much higher priced. It is Vancouver after all.
Overall nice outing during a busy NW vacation. Walked along the waterfront afterwards before making the 3 hour drive back below the border. Customs was gratefully uneventful.
Glad to have made it to Vancouver at least once.

Was there last night for Happy Hour! Ref truck lager was fine! It’s just price! But the Halbut and Chips was a joke, there was 3-4 oz of fish. I know it was a 1 piece fisH FOR $20 less 20% but the the portion of fish was ridiculous!

Super long lineup. No big deal as it's expected at the airport. However after waiting in line for an hour we were told right when we got to the front of the line that they were only serving one item on the menu. So ridiculous. No one had the courtesy to let everyone in the line know. Even a simple sign on the menu would have been appreciated. Ended up waiting another hour somewhere else.

Our dinner at Lift was excellent! We sere staying at the Westin, so it could not have been more convenient! Everyone was really friendly. Not the fastest service, but we were happy to sit and enjoy the view. The mushroom ravioli and prawn and scallop tagliatelle were amazing. The ravioli included some broccoli, but the tagliatelle had no veggies. The side Cesar salad was excellent, as was the signature salad. We splurged and had dessert. The salted caramel cheesecake was worth every calorie. The other cheesecake (must have been a nightly special menu item because I don’t remember the name and it isn’t showing up on their online menu) was the only negative of the dinner, since it was a slab frozen solid. But good once it was soft enough to actually cut into.

We had made reservations and they definitely where not needed for a weekday lunch time slot. Having different pricing of food for different levels of the patio was odd.
The food portions were a great size and sharing of the app's between three people was easily done. Staff was attenuative and accommodating.
