My fiance and I had a lovely dinner during Dine Out Vancouver in the upstairs portion of Bridges. We were greeted warmly by the hosts and they offer complimentary coat check. We had a lovely quiet table by the window that boasted an amazing view of the twinkling city and the water. Our server Jennifer was warm and knowledgeable and... More

Our tour of Vancouver brought us to Granville Island, great place with a wonderful eclectic market. We were going to eat at the market, but decided we wanted a more relaxed atmosphere and found Bridges. We had a great lunch of their chowder and calamari with a glass of wine from British Columbia. We had a table overlooking the water,... More

After a morning of exploring the market, we settled in for a lunch on the patio at bridges. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The setting was top-notch overlooking the harbor!

Winter is not the best month to dine at Bridges but we were on the Island for the day and decided to enjoy dinner here before returning home. The upstairs is a more pleasant dining room especially during the winter months. We started with the apple & fig salad and the fresh local oysters. Our mains were the sturgeon and... More

Stopped by Bridges on Friday afternoon after a long time absence. Limited lunch menu but what was there was varied and unique. The view from every table out to the active harbour of False Creek keep up entertained throughout the meal.

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
