Popped in for a quick breakfast before my ferry home and I was so happy I did!
I enjoyed the avocado toast with an added poached egg and ham. So filling and delicious. The avocado was more actually a guacamole (I didn’t mind at all) and everything was topped on top of a slice of sourdough toast and came with a small side of fresh seasonal fruit (blueberries, grapes, watermelon, banana).
I was in a bit of a rush and my server Liza brought me my bill quickly so I could run to catch my boat!
I scarfed back my avocado toast and didn’t even think to take a picture because it was so delicious 😋
I also love how this location is open nice and early to accommodate seaplane and ferry times!

This spot brings a taste of the Netherlands to the heart of Vancouver. Their specialty? A huge, thin pancake topped with all kinds of delicious ingredients – think bacon, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, and more. I went with bacon, cheese, tomato, and scrambled eggs on my pancake, and a drizzle of maple syrup added the perfect touch of sweetness. Surprisingly tasty and satisfying!
The Dutch hot chocolate was a nice finish, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly, and clean washrooms were a plus. A unique, worthwhile stop if you’re looking for something a little different.

Very nice view along the sea walk, the food was lovely with lots of options such as pancakes, french toast and various other breakfast options like eggs Benedict. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly especially our waiter Sam who gave us some local advice about nearby Stanley park. The whole cafe has a nice atmosphere and the music was very jolly ( I'm assuming 80s on 8). Would recommend.

This place has a great location with a beautiful view, but the staff was very slow and the food was underwhelming. I ordered French Toast with eggs and my friend ordered the pancake with hash. Neither of us enjoyed our food, nor even finished it. The most impressive thing was the waitress' ability to speak fluently to all the guests (English, German and Spanish were the ones I heard!). This restaurant attracts visitors from all over (they have a huge map on the wall where you can pin your hometown).

The veg pancake was fine, but the bowl of pea soup my wife ordered was a joke. It was less than a cup and consisted of water and some fatty bits of ham, may five spoonfuls of soup!
When we mentioned it to our server (who seemed stoned), she said she knew the portions were small but she wasn’t allowed to complain about it.
She continued to make excuses as she handed me the full bill.
No tip! Never going back!
Appallingly bad soup and service!

This place was just opening when we were looking for an early breakfast and filled up fast but we only waited a few minutes to get a table. The young waitress did a good job at taking everyones orders and drinks arrived quickly. There was a good choice of breakfasts and we both chose hash and eggs. Even though there was a lot of people who came in at the same time we didn't wait too long for our food and it was delicious and very filling. Nice location where you can watch the seaplanes taking off and landing.

A wonderful spot for a nice breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food is exceptionally good with some interesting Dutch options available as well as typical fair. Sam, our waiter, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He engaged with us and made our experience fun. The hostess who seated us made sure we had a good view of the lovely harbour. The little touches to the decor made the restaurant very attractive. We were surprised to find the prices very reasonable. We would recommend the Dutch pancakes or BLT, both were wonderful. De Dutch is located on the waterfront west of Canada Place with both inside and patio tables.

We were looking for an early breakfast while we waited to board our cruise. De Dutch was right around the corner from Canada Place with stunning views. Food was wonderful but I was most thankful they allowed me to order a scaled down eggs Benedict so I wouldn’t waste anything (or eat so much I fell asleep!) Thanks for a lovely start to our vacation!

Not great! Service was really very poor, was our waitress hiding? had to ask for water on numerous occasions from another server and returned two cappuccinos as they were pretty much just milk, no froth and lukewarm. When food did eventually arrive both omelettes were over cooked and rubbery and the fruit was well past its best and inedible. Kids said the pancakes were nice. Would not return.

During a three-day stay in Vancouver at the beginning of July, went to De Dutch twice for breakfast/brunch. What an absolute delight!! The range of pannekoek-inspired dishes was just too much to choose from - so many delicious options. And the serving staff were so pleasant and friendly, couldn't do enough to enhance a perfect dining experience even further. Would not hesitate to recommend and can't wait for an opportunity to visit againL

I am giving this unfussy casual dining restaurant overlooking Vancouver Harbour 5 stars for these reasons:
it's nice to be able to eat outside in the sunshine (and watch the seaplanes come in and out) although we chose to eat in. They do the simple things well and the food is well presented and well priced. We arrived as it opened at 8am. So did a number of others. Coffee and tea was out onto the tables with minimum delay. The food was well prepared, hot and minimum delay.
But the star of the show was our server Supitcha who had a smile on her face from start to finish and was quite charming. Checking up on her tables, spotting where refills were needed and a total breath of fresh air. Kudos to her and kudos to De Dutch for hiring people like her.

With Covid 19 precautions going on the restaurants couldn't serve us inside where it was warm. This location though had an absolutely smart and helpful young server who convinced us to stay on the patio outside in the cold. He noted that the facility had infrared heaters and this patio overlooked the sea airport and the promenade deck. We stayed and he immediately brought us hot coffees, took our order and within a few minutes the meal arrived. Nobody could have done a better job of expediting this quality meal. We spent two days in the Vancouver area going to the Van Gogh exposition and this was the best meal we had during that stay. I loved the experience and definitely recommend this establishment.

Not too many Dutch restaurants around so had to investigate. We were seated quickly for brunch at a window overlooking the harbour where seaplanes were landing. We split an order of croquettes which were good. I had the Dutch pancakes with apple, onions and bacon. Wife had the Amsterdam eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce. Service was excellent and everything was very good, including the coffee.

I didn't know what I was getting myself into but I was happy I did it! The crepes are SO much bigger than you think they'll be and are very filling and delicious the whole time. Getting to take a delicious bite and then look outside the large windows out to the water is great. Not a cheap eat though so definitely more of a treat! Thoroughly enjoyed

Hit this quick breakfast spot to start the sightseeing day. The Pannekoeken is a mix between a pancake and a crepe. It's crispy, yet chewy type of cake. It is huge! It covers the entire plate and it's toppings are sat right on top of it. The cream chees and the whipped cream was light and heavenly! The veggie hash was so good! Two people can split two of these with no problem. You'll leave full but not heavy feeling.
