The staff at the Kingston Taphouse are great, always helpful and kind. They have a great selection of beers and have large TVs. A great place to watch a game. We had some appetizers, they left something to be desired. The dry rub ribs were really dry and salty. If you are staying at the Kingston Hotel next door, you... More

The reviews I read put this place suggested that I'd have lovely meal but the reality was that I had an average meal, not bad but not noteworthy. The place is nice enough and the ambience is good. The staff are friendly and helpful so no real criticism there, it's just disappointing, unremarkable food. Excellent range of beers though😀

My Dad and I went here this summer (2016) before going to see The Book of Mormon. He'd been several times for several years. I'd never heard of it nor would it have jumped out at me as a destination just by walking by. It was lovely! There's a cozy bar, a more open space near the back and this... More

It was game day in Vancouver for the boys, and my Dad had made a list of pubs he wanted to try to stop at prior to puck drop. He said he heard most of these from the radio, and my brother and I were more than willing to join the bar hop! First stop was the Kingston Taphouse! First... More

This place was convenient as we were staying across the road. The food was nice however the service was lacking. Took a while to get served as only one staff member on and he was flat out. Not his fault as they could do with someone to help. As I said the food was nice but not fantastic. The beer... More

Was on our way to Cafe Medina but it was too busy (line up) so we came here. Great service and atmosphere. Although typical pub fare offerings they are done right and much better than expected. Definately not disappointed! Will be back

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
